Seems to work fine.
The taser seems to work just fine and the sound of the arc alone is pretty intimidating. The taser also has a built in flashlight. The build of the taser is not the best, the buttons are pretty wonky and the overall materials are so so but for the price it’s fine. I saw a few comments about the battery life so It was the first thing I tested. My test was simple and I didn’t see any obvious battery drain. To test I first completely drained the battery by leaving the light on. I then recharged the device while connected to a USB power meter. Then I waited the 7 days and checked how much more charge it needed to top it off and it didn’t need more. I’m not saying that the battery won’t have any drain overtime but it’s definitely not within a week. My meter showed that the taser has a battery capacity of about 200 mAh and it took 1 hour 5 min to fully charge. This is a very small capacity battery but I guess it’s fine for a taser since it mostly relies on capacitors to make so much power. The small capacity also means that the flashlight feature should also be used in emergency situations to preserve the battery as much as possible. The slow charging time is because the taser charges at 5V .20A. I think that the false battery issue is from the built in power level lights. The lights give you an idea of the charge but are not very reliable. When you set the switch to light mode, the status light will show less power than when the switch is set to stun. I think this is because the lamp uses more power than the stun function, capacitors need very little to almost no energy. Overall I think the taser works fine, the only main downside being that it uses micro USB which is becoming less common to find. The battery status lights aren’t super reliable so I would recommend to charge the taser at least every two weeks just to top it off.

Battery goes dead in 7-10 days without using it
Decent stun arc, decent light, good size. The problem is they self discharge and go dead within 10 days without even using it. Not sure why, but because of that, this model of SABRE stun gun should be avoided. I bought 6 to give to family members, huge disappointment.

Oh my goodness! Bad little mutha!
Ok folks, let me tell you, this is probably my most personal/hardest review! I actually tased myself with this thing to know exactly how this stun gun works. Oooeee, I can tell you that the Sabre Stun Gun is bad to the bone! Smaller than most stun guns I’ve seen, but packs one hell of a punch. I know for a FACT, if I had ill intentions toward someone, and they hit me with this, I would definitely change my mind. I’m 6’-4” 275 lbs. and tased myself in the leg for no more than a second, I felt pain for at least 5 min. When holding in your hand and pushing the button, you hear the loud cracking sound of the electricity, but when touched to your body, you hear nothing. But you sure feel it. This is definitely a deterrent to an attack. I would feel a little more at ease with the Sabre Stun Gun in my wife’s purse. The flashlight on it is pretty bright and illuminates a good size area. The only thing I don’t like about this, is the holster. It’s small and flimsy, hard to put in without looking at what your doing and hard to pull out quickly. Other than that, this is a pretty bad to the bone weapon. Small, but packs one hell of a punch!

Compact, rechargeable stun gun
A compact, rechargeable stun gun. It uses Micro USB for its recharging port and includes a short, white cable in the packaging. It also has a little holster/protective case to store it in, this is good because you wouldn’t want to accidentally discharge it while it’s in your pocket. It has a 3-way switch that goes from off, to the flashlight, then on (for the stun gun) and you have to finally press the button to actually activate it. I haven’t used this stun gun on any people and hopefully I never have to, but it does make me feel better knowing I have it in my car if such a situation ever arises. It seems durable and reliable, just make sure you don’t forget to charge it and end up needing it a year later and come to find that the battery is dead.

Decent stun gun
This is a decent stun gun. For the price, I think what you pay is what you get, here. It's easy to hold in your hand, it has a little light on it as well. Note: it's not super powerful, but will still help you find something large and it's better than not having anything at all to help you see. For this item, I think a light is something it SHOULD have on it. The noise is pretty loud and hopefully will scare off anyone to the point you don't have to use the taser.... but I think it will work well. I didn't actually tase anyone for this, but overall I think this is a good taser with some nice features.

Scary good
This small, light weight little device is inexpensive and a great non-lethal defense tool. I didn't ZAP anyone, but the sound it makes is a loud electrical crack, and the arc it throws is intimidating w/o actually getting hit by it. The safety switch must be moved off and the other switch must be slide past the flashlight setting to get to the "Armed" setting where the button actually activate the stun-gun. According to the literature, the charge it throws off puts it in the "Level III" -"Intolerable pain" category. It comes with a belt mounted mesh carry case. There are blue light on the side to show battery level. I will keep an eye on whether it holds a charge and report back. There is a website link to a video on Stun-Gun training by SABRE.
