The Hi-Boost arrived in a sturdy, padded box with spaces created for each individual peice. Just looking at the packaging alone told me that this was a high quality product. I was impressed before I ever took it out of the box. I had some concerns about capturing the best signal at first, but the owners manual and the support system at Hi-Boost made it very easy to install. Registration was super easy. Scanning the code enabled my support agent Liam, to contact me, asking if I had any questions, and giving me pointers. Customer support is stellar, with fast and extremely knowledgeable responses. I could tell that Liam had a lot of experience with this product and I was confident with his help. I live in a very rural area where I was only getting one or two bars. With the Hi-Boost, I get three to four bars consistently. Included in this very nice packaging, is a special cable that you can use to connect through a window or a very tight space, going from the inside, to the outside. Also included is a special tape wrapping that blocks unwanted interference from getting in through your cable connection points. The quality of this device is top tier, with heavy, well shielded cables. For the price, it is everything I was hoping for, and more. Liam knew that this unit would work best sitting on a desk or counter top, as opposed to hanging it on a wall. He was knowledgeable with where to place my antennaes. The actual install time was only a couple hours. Not only is this device reliable, but customer support is reliable too! With quick responses, I'm not doing this alone. I'm not going into the install blind. I have an extra helper that is only a few taps away. Now everything is set up. There is no "fine-tuning" required. I just pointed the outside antenna in the general direction of the closest cell tower and it works perfectly! Even in stormy and rainy weather, it works great! I no longer have to drive into town to download videos. I can stream. I can hotspot my pc without having to plug my phone into an extension cord outside. Speaking of outside, I now have better service inside, than I do outside! Its liberating! It's wonderful! I'm so happy I bought this. Its well worth the money!

I mean that in a very, very, VERY good way. Here's the breakdown: PROS: 1. The way they pack this is like the box contains a million-dollar device. It reminds me of how Apple packages its products. It is exquisite with all of the recessed pockets, plastic, and individually wrapped accessories. 2. The thru-window cable is pure genius. With my first device, I accidentally severed the cord and spoiled the entire mechanism function. 3. Having a digital read-out of the various tower signal strengths is very helpful. You can see how varying positions of the antennae pick up the most robust signal. 4. My cellphone was boosted to 5-bars immediately. Previously, in the basement, I was lucky to have one bar. It was constantly pinwheeling all of my downloads and streaming services. NOW I have smooth downloads and the pinwheel is gone for good...Yipee! 5. The accompanying app is marvelous and assists with locating the best direction upon installation. It takes the guesswork out of set-up. Other cheaper devices have you guessing and taking chances without proper feedback information. 6. They even include stretchable weather sealing putty to wrap around all of the connection points. It's great because you can stretch out and lay it like a glove over the contact points. 7. Customer service went above and beyond. As my device was shipped they emailed me and told me to contact them if I have any questions. They also gave me a phone call (YES, a phone call) checking in with me, after I had installed the device. This is a service one typically finds with very high-end products and services. Fantastic. CONS: 1. The manual is tough to read as the text is tiny. They should increase the font size for those that have to squint. 2. Although the directional antennae picks up wonderfully, it might be something to think about to make it omnidirectional. But, that's splitting hairs. All-in-all, this is a much-needed device for those living in basements, behind solid walls, or in dead zones. One more thing. I notice if (while indoors) you stand between your mobile phone and the indoor receiver the bars will drop. So, you want to have a clear line-of-site for your phone and the indoor receiver (the white box with the small antennae)

I have recently just purchased my second Sidekick unit! While staying with family in a fairly rural location, we quickly determined that the cell signal required for us to use our cell phones successfully (for calls and for data) was not sufficient. Especially for me, as I work from home and require the ability to make / receive business calls on my cell phone. But also, my family had been suffering without adequate service for years. This was a source of both frustration, as well as concern - because they did not have a landline and access to emergency services could have been impacted in a time of need. Enter - Amazon Prime Day and the HiBoost Sidekick deal that we found. We got an amazing deal on our booster which made us happy in and of itself. We quickly received the kit, but not before the technical support team had already reached out to us in advance to offer critical resources and contact information that came in very handy during the install. (I even had a couple of additional questions that they answered on the weekend!!) After quickly installing the antenna using an old DirectTV mast that my family had on the side of the house, then using the app that the support team suggested, I was able to quickly identify the direction of our cell tower and make minor adjustments to ensure a maximum amount of boostable signal. Once installed, my business phone worked (and has continued to work) flawlessly. Not only that, my family noticed a remarkable difference in their service - even though they had a different carrier. Not only that, friends and family that visited afterwards ALL commented on how their phones worked. (previously that wasn't the case, it was a noticeable improvement in their eyes) Now that we have moved out, my family has decided that they wanted to keep my original booster and bought me a new one for my new house. (since we are still rural and the signal is equally bad!) And of course, the technical support experience has been exactly the same and we are once again very happy customers. We would recommend the HiBoost product to ANYBODY who does not have adequate signal in their home or business!!

Decent product. Easy installation. Range lower than expected. Its advertised for 2K sq ft. but signal outside a 800 sq ft room where the indoor antenna is installed is very weak. Works great inside the room. I went from having no reception to 5 bars. Awesome customer service. Liam contacted me after I received the product. I was short a bit of extra cable to get the antenna where I needed it. Liam sent it to me free of cost and took care of my need. Would give 5 stars if range was greater but still very happy with the purchase.

Definitely meets my expectations and I was able to maximize the cell signal gain so I now have a usable data Hotspot if my Starlink fails. I live in a rural area of upper Wisconsin with only a single cell tower (Verizon) in proximity. I had been a Frontier Communications customer with old copper DSL which was the only option other than satellite but Frontier is in the process of abandoning the copper lines and, unfortunately, they are not running fiber to my location. So I installed Starlink for internet, which so far has been excellent, but wanted a backup option in case of failure/outage but my cell signal was not good (1 bar, sometimes 2 with DL speeds around 2-4 Mbps) so I purchased the HiBoost Sidekick. FYI, prior to purchase I downloaded and read their installation instructions and ended up emailing their support multiple times as I worked through my install plan - including installation of a grounded lightning arrester because we get a lot of thunderstorms up here. They responded to all my questions promptly. Using online sites and android apps I was able to determine the tower location (& bearing) and elevation difference from my home. I then installed the antenna using a compass app to set the degree angle to the tower bearing and also slightly angled up to account for the elevation difference then temporarily ran the cables through a window and to the location where I planned to place the booster. SUCCESS. I actually achieved maximum dB gain and was getting 14-20 Mbps DL & 1.5 Mbps UL so was extremely happy to finish the cabling and grounding. I then downloaded the app and used it to register the product as well as using it to disable 2 of the 4 bands I was switching between, including the "5G" band, because they were slowing things down. For reference, my disconnected Frontier copper DSL was 2.5 Mbps DL/ .5 Mbps UL so, as they say, everything is relative - so my new booster signal is fast. Oh, the day after I registered I received a text from HiBoost support asking how things were going and if I had any questions. So I have to say that my experience with HiBoost support both pre and post purchase has been positive. Now I hope this antenna lasts, especially through our snowy, cold winters...but only time will tell. Definitely recommend based upon my needs.

When I ordered this product I had my doubts since I did not have even one bar of signal from any tower most of the time. The only location around my home where I could any reliable signal was sitting in the drivers seat of my vehicle and could never really count on that.........it was often that I would say to myself....'well, no signal today, I'll try again tomorrow'. However, the reviews for Hiboost were very encouraging and with 30 days to discover if it would work for me I decided to give it a go and take a chance. Upon receiving the the product, having collected the recommended additional apps for locating towers and measuring signal strength including the Hiboost 'Signal Supervisor' all of which provided little confidence as to the possibility that Hiboost was going to work for me. Life was quite busy for me at the time, so I put the whole idea aside for the time being. At some point my son showed an interest in trying to make work. Without reading any infor or using any apps, one night he set the antenna on our picnic table on the patio hooked it to the router which he took inside to see what it could do. In the moving he reported that he had been able to watch movies all night (@ 1080p) all night. With this news I was convinced to do a proper install to see what would happen. With the apps I determine the best direction in which to point the antenna and mounted on a mast about 15 foot above ground. Since that install we have enjoyed the use of our cell phones inside. The outdoor signal from the cell tower, I still have no idea just exactly where the tower is or how far away it is, but we consistently are able to get about 3.0 Mbps. We are now able to use our phones inside. As far as surfing and viewing Youtube, with only 3 Mbps with a minimum of buffering on the worst days and no buffering most of the time. This is far superior to our sattelite WiFi provider. This is where Hiboost's Customer Service showed their dedication to service. As we continued to use this router I noticed that the unit seemed to me to be running quite hot and the display on the router was no light enough to be of any real use. I reported these conditions to one of the, I assume current customer Customer Service reps that had contacted me to see how it was going for us using the Hiboost System. Without hesitation I was sent a replacement unit to see if that would satisfy my concerns. He wasn't sure that what I reported was actually a problem, but gave me the chance to confirm that the routers performance was normal and in the end I returned the replace unit because it performed identically as my original unit, after which I returned the replacement unit.....all of this without any expense to me. I call that Service. Thanks Hiboost!

Best shipping packaging I’ve ever seen. Easy to set up. Exceeded my expectations. Went from 0 -1 bar of LTE to 2- 3 bars of 5g. Nice app to dial in signal. Great follow up from company.

Sorry for the length of the review, but I had very high hopes for this booster. Upon opening the box the quality of the booster itself feels great, the case is all metal and it is heavy. The outdoor antenna feels flimsy and weak, but it is all plastic so that is to be expected. Installation- The outdoor antenna comes with a bracket to mount it to a pole or whatever surface you want. The booster inside connected to me Note 10+ easily over Bluetooth and it was fairly simple to setup. Running the wires up to the roof was not bad, but I am used to working on the roof. That is about where any positives stop. App- Once everything was hooked up I used the SignalSupervisor(HiBoost's app) to check the signal and change the direction of the outdoor antenna to get the best signal possible. Their app showed that no matter which direction the antenna was pointed(to include directly down at the roof and towards trees where there are no towers for 50+ miles) I had a perfect signal, 5 bars. But that is not true. In fact when pointed in most directions I had 0 bars. I turned the antenna in every direction and waited for approximately 3-5 minutes before moving to the next direction to make sure it had time to catch the signal. I used multiple other apps to obtain the direction of the nearest towers and pointed the antenna that direction and gave up on the roof for the day. Indoor Booster- The indoor booster has a LCD display of the current frequency and the indoor and outdoor signal strength. It scrolls through the 4 frequencies showing you the strength of each. Mine showed full bars indoor and 2 bars for outdoor on all frequencies. But did not boost any signal to our phones or our 4G home internet gateway. In fact, the display on the booster is exactly like the app, no matter where the outdoor antenna was pointed it showed the same thing, full inside and 2 outside. "Tech Support"- I contacted HiBoost's tech support to help with my issues. At first try of using the chat feature in the app it took 14+ hours to get a response which was to quote the installation manual. Over the next 2 days I had to wait between 30 minutes and several hours to get a response from them. Every time I would ask a question they would respond with " send us a screen shot of the current signal in the app". Which I told them many times what it was showing and that it was not working properly. I changed to emailing them since they decided to send me an email asking if everything was working. I responded and got a few emails back, but it was the same thing. Quotes from the installation manual and requests for more screen shots. At one point they asked me to download a different app to show them the band of the tower I was connecting to. I did so and the only response I received was "It supports". Nothing beyond that. While dealing with all this I received multiple emails asking for me to review their product on Amazon and their website, offering $20+ for a "good" review. So everyone knows, I installed the outdoor antenna in places from ground level, to the lowest side of my roof, to approximately 8 feet above my roof. I tried inside and outside. I moved the booster all over the house, even having to make a few small holes in the walls or ceiling to run the cable so I could try it anywhere I thought might make a difference as per their manual. I gave this booster many attempts and spent close to 15 hours messing around with it. My biggest piece of advise is....RUN AWAY, RUN FAR AWAY from this company and their products.
