Leaders Training or Lungeing Aid for Horse

Over two years ago my horse suffered a nearly career ending injury to his pelvis. He was three-legged lame for five months, and had a few professionals recommend retiring him permanently at only five years old and stop working with us when I refused to stop hoping. It took time, but I revamped his team to include professionals dedicated to our success. One of the tools they recommend using to start the long path of recovery was a training aide like this one. Leaders reached out with their design, and I purchased one immediately. With slow, correct work in this aide, we started to see steady improvements in my horse’s condition in just a short time. Of course, no aide should be used to force an outline or movement, but this on its loosest setting helped my guys movement to engage his hind end and get his back working. Almost three years later, he’s now back in full, regular work as if nothing ever happened. We continue to pop him in this aide periodically to help his strength stay up, but the difference in him is night and day. I firmly believe that most of the reason behind going from retired at five to training 3rd is because of the support of this aide. I and his team don’t think he could’ve had half the comeback without it. The aide still is in great shape after all the work it’s been through. It’s easy to use and simple to clean and store. I like this training tool. It’s easy to set up as long as your horse will stand for you to do so. The only thing I would change would be the stoppers for the adjustment straps. Mine slid loose a lot so I have to fix them a lot. But other than that I love it

Worked for my mare if we added a crouper. She is long and even with it measured correctly it doesn't stop going dangerously low on the hind legs while working. Just added a crouper to the top to keep it from falling and it worked.

I thought it came with the surcingle thingie. It did not. I think it’s not a good price for not including that. It does say in the product description it’s just a lunging aid but you can’t use it with out that. 😩

This is my TWH. This set up works well for the price. It's not too complicated to adjust, and if the horse pulls or freaks out it loosens itself easily. It's decently easy to put on your horse and overall is a nice training aid.
