What material is the knife made out of? I would like to use it for kinetic sand, I want to find something that is not rubber, or foam.

The material is 100% Polypropylene plastic. It is hollow but the plastic is thick. There's no rubber or foam.

We need to use it as a theater prop, can the handle come off, so we can attach it to a person?

I cut a piece of Wood attaching it to rubber straps so I could attach it to someone. Adding stage blood makes it look real.
