Rowenta Silence Steam PRO Iron, 2800 W, 1.3 Litre, Black and Grey

This was a complete waste of money. This was replaced three times within the first 28 days - first one the boiler just malfunctioned and there was steam pouring out all over the place when the iron had reached temperature but without the buttons being activated. The second one the steam button kept getting stuck and continuous steam would be released from the iron. The third one started leaking water all over the place. That went back for a repair - the tank arrived back smashed so that component was replaced. It's now gone back for a fourth time because the button is stuck again and brown water is being thrown all over the clothes and there is water being sprayed everywhere. I would never recommend this iron to anybody.

Before this product I only had a normal iron as well as I used steam ironing station from Tefal for a couple of hours. Tefal one worked like an iron with a bigger water container. It was giving you steam all the time and you pressed button when you needed a small steam boost for difficult areas. I was thinking/hoping that this product will work in a similar way but with a bit more powerful steam. What this product is a steamer with an iron attached to it. Negatives: - micro-switches are extremely noisy when you press a button to activate the steam function. you can't use it at nights or when there are people nearby - there is terrible and loud metal scraping sound when you use it. I guess it might be the anti-calc function of it but it's very loud - steam flow is very inconsistent. you press button and then barely anything comes out. you let it pump and cook the water, then you get huge number of steam. This makes it hard to get steam when you actually need it and it generates a lot of condensation - steam flow dies out just after couple of seconds. you can't get same power consistently over 5-10sec when you iron one side of your bedsheet. - there is no "give me a little bit of continuous steam" (like a normal iron with steam function enabled would do). Instead you just have 2 buttons to give max steam all the time. You also have to press that button constantly. - difference between 2 steam buttons is minimal. one supposed to be "nose only" but you still get almost half of the surface steaming - no way to control the steam power. you get either none or all of it - as device gives 100% steam all the time, you have to refill it often - as device gives 100% steam all the time, you have a lot of steam condensation under your board. you have to mop even after light use - you MUST change your ironing board. especially when your steam station can generate that mush steam - device is huge and very heavy - gliding surface doesn't glide as easy and effortless like Tefal with it's special coating - Tefal had a mechanism to detect when iron is at base. This device doesn't do it. So you can accidentally activate the steam button when iron is docked. - no water spray function - no illumination. Tefal had it and it was handy is some special situations Positives: - you have steam and temperature separated. now you can use steam even on low settings - water refill is convenient - steam is strong (when works) - design looks good - auto-shutdown feature is good to have - buttons are placed in good spots and convenient to use - you should be able to iron your clothing hanging. i haven't tried it but, technically, don't see how to practically do it. You need a surface to lean against as well as special mittens for it. Steamers in the clothing shops give rather small amount of steam constantly. This device, on contrary, gives one huge boost which is not safe not controlled. Would I buy it again!? No, I would probably get a less advanced Tefal ones. Your use-case might be different. Maybe you DO need max steam all the time and you have to press a button when you need it. Primary reasons for not getting it again: - noise (clicking and scraping) - lack of steam control - need to press button all the time - water usage/condensation

Il prodotto è arrivato imballato perfettamente ma purtroppo un pezzo del serbatoio era scheggiato. Avrei potuto fare il reso ma ho preferito tenerlo perché il danno non compromette la funzionalità. Il ferro è fantastico. Avevo già un Rowenta che mi è durato più di 15 anni. La potenza del vapore è ottimale e quando ricarica l'acqua non è per nulla rumoroso. Rispetto a quello che avevo direi che è silenziosissimo. Anche l' estetica è bella con quel colore verde che mi piace tanto. Il prezzo è un po' elevato ma la qualità vale tutti gli euro spesi.

Excelente centro de planchado. No es el 1er Centro Rowenta. El último ha durado casi 15 años después de un uso familiar estándar. Habíamos tenidos desde robots de limpieza (como Lady Vap) has ta planchas de calidad reconocida. Cuando probamos el Centro Rowenta ya fue un "aquí nos quedamos". Este centro supera incluso el anteriorr. Es silencioso, se calienta en un tiempo más que razonable y es muy práctico para usar. En otros centros/planchas necesitas que se enfríe para rellenar el depósito. No es el caso. Rellenas si se te acaba el agua. Que por cierto ya lleva un depósito más grande que nuestro centro anterior. Será difícil que se te acabe el agua, excepto que hagas una sesión realmente larga de planchado. El peso es el adecuado para no necesiter ejercer fuerza en la plancha. De hecho no hace falta ni que presiones en la ropa. Es más fácil y más rápido incluso si levantas ligeramente la plancha, usando así el numeroso vapor que genera. También es práctico que la selección de la temperatura para el tipo de género a planchar pueda ser automáico con la función ECO. Realmente un acierto seguir confiando en Rowenta para el Centro de planchado.
