Spacious and durable! Awesome for the price!
This bag was perfect for our needs and so spacious!! It fit two large suitcases as well as three duffle bags and some heavy coats freeing up much needed space in our car. Did fine with both the heavy wind and rain during our 24hr road trip one way (x2) and kept all of our items dry.Only con is that it’s a little stiffer than expected so it was harder to maneuver the zipper to open and close but it was doable! Pro to that is that if you have to stop anywhere to rest you won’t have to worry about someone potentially stealing your stuff because you’ll definitely wake up before they’re able to open that zipper lol

Dont use for 17 hour car rides.
First it was hard to put on the roof. Once we got it figured out it was fine. Drive it downthe road and the straps kept flapping in the wind. We drove about 30 minutes after I fixed the straps they still flapped in the wind hitting my car. When we finally stopped we had to tie them together so it wouldnt fly off. Thats why you see them tied. It served the purpose though. I drove from Florida to new Jersey. The only thing I'm upset about is that you can clearly see it ripped the material. I put it on the roof right. We just had to tie the extra material to each side so they wouldnt flap in the wind. I wouldn't recommend for 17 hour car rides. Wish I could get my money back or atleast half.

Worked great
This bag is great! I drove 4000 miles across the US and Canada to Alaska on the AlCan Highway and it held up fantastic. The only problem was that without a roof rack the straps acted as wicks to heavy rain and the straps inside the car got soaked and dripped all over my backseat. Once I figured that out I kept my backseat covered with rain ponchos and covered the roof bag with a tarp and some bungee cords when parked to keep the straps from getting saturated. The inside of the bag was snug and dry. No damage to the bag except for bug guts spattered but they cleaned off easily. Would definitely use again, I used the non skid pad with it and it didn’t even budge on my roof.

Leaky straps during rain
The bag is waterproof and does hold a lot! It is pretty loud on the top of my vehicle though. We had to take the straps through the inside of the car because we don’t have any rails on top and had some rain and the straps accumulated water and leaked all inside the car!

Don’t worry- you’ll be happy!
I’ll be honest I was really worried about buying this item but as we were embarking on a roadtrip from Arizona to Montana (and back again) I thought with the low price it would be worth it to try it if it gave our family extra space in our Nissan Rogue (no roof racks). Boy am I glad I tried this. My husband was able to secure the roofbag relatively easily (and on his own) and after a bit of adjustment he got it very tightly onto the roof. We were able to fit our son’s pack-and-play and jogging stroller up top as well as his booster/highchair and some pillows. It made such a difference in our travel experience to have all that spare room in the car and a full seat open! We barely noticed it was up there to be honest as we shut the straps through the doors instead of the windows as it suggested in the instructions. The only time we heard it was when we hit some areas of extreme wind. When it’s really really windy it will loosen the straps a bit and so a couple times we had to pull over to avoid an annoying buzzing sound. But a quick yank on the straps and we were back on the road again! We could barely hear it and it barely even moved. We went through a place in southern Utah where it had really heavy rains and wondered how the waterproof feature would hold up. But most everything was totally dry- only a microfleece blanket got a little damp. But considering all that rain I was shocked how well it held up. One tip is if you’re traveling multiple days make sure to buy a little lock. We stayed with a friend in a neighborhood in Salt Lake City that seemed pretty well off but when we came out the next day someone had gone through our stuff. Luckily nothing was stolen (I always refuse to put anything too valuable on a roof rack no matter how secure) but it did make us realize how vulnerable it was to theft. That’s on us so we went through getting it on and off every night after that though a lock would’ve been fine in most areas. I’ll admit it’s not super fun getting it on and off and it’s definitely easier to put it on and THEN fill it (vs lugging a big full bag up top) but its a bit harder for a shorty like me yet my husband who is just under 6’ did just fine. I honestly can’t believe how well this worked for the price. I definitely would recommend it and it felt super secure the entire time we used it. We are both excited at how easy this will make all our future road trips and adventures.

It's ok for the price paid...but it does leak both inside the bag and inside your vehicle
I purchased the Cargo Roof Bag without Roof Rack. I installed this bag as instructed to drive from CA to OK. The installation was easy enough. After driving for approximately 10 miles, it was a little loose so I tightened the straps again and it seemed to be ok. The drive to OK was uneventful until the last few hours of the trip when it began to rain. I would say it was a moderate rain with brief periods of heavy rain that lasted a total of about an hour to 2 hours. First issue, during the rain, water would seep into the car via the straps. Not just a little water, A LOT OF WATER. The back seat and those that occupied the seats next to the doors received constant drips of water from the straps. Once home while unpacking the cargo bag, I noticed that the items at the front of the bag were extremely wet while the items in the middle and rear of the bag were mostly dry. So I give this product 3 stars because it did help resolve the issue of space within the car; however, if it rains during your trip, the inside of your vehicle will get wet and some of the items in the bag will also get wet.UPDATE - Due to water seepage the inside roof of the car now has visible water damage. Will not be using this again due to this damage.

Great Value
Bought this as like new and came in great shape. Used this on a roadtrip from Utah to California and it worked great, even in very windy parts. The only complaint I have is that its very noisy when its windy, but other than that it works great! Have yet to test it in the rain though.
