This product works as intended, but you need to keep in mind that certain loud noises are still going to be getting picked up by the microphone. I had to get one because I don't live in a quiet household, and I needed to get some audio recordings done. I'm more than happy with it, and it's become a permanent accessory to the mic.

I can't believe this little piece of foam helps reduce room echo and outside noise so much. I recorded an intro for my podcast without it and then put it on and recorded again. It reduced general room noise and made me sound like I paid for an entire sound booth. I even had the washing machine and my dishwasher going while recording and it drastically damped the sound of both, to the point where I couldn't hear them at all in the background of my take with the isolation shield. I also live in a major city where traffic goes by every few minutes and I picked up ZERO road noise. Buying this product prevented me from dropping the big bucks on acoustic panels and an entire folding isolation shield. Best purchase I've ever made for my podcast. 10/10! As an aside, I have a Yeti Blue and it fit like a glove.

I have an online radio show. Now that I've retired from terrestrial radio, I have to produce my shows in my home studio. I didn't want to go through the hassle of putting foam all over my walls and decided to try this. The room went from being very live to almost flat-dead. The pop filter is also effective but I learned not to pop my "Ps" years ago.

If one of these are what you are looking for. Buy this one, do not buy more expensive this really does perform very very very close to the best. Tested personally with my friends at his studio. He has one of the eyeball ones. We tested it and they was very close.

I was under the presumption that it would fit for my mic and the shock mount it came with.. now I have to get a new mount if I want to use this… definitely dig the phone holder though. On top of that I’m not sure I really notice a difference in having it on the mic by itself as opposed to the pop filter and room treatment I already have..
