Great quality very soft great price

I read reviews before buying stuff on Amazon. Some of the reviews said how thin the towels were so they sent them back. Others said they really fluff up after washing and drying them. When I received them I thought they were about the flattest towels I had ever bought. Not impressive at all. Had I not read the comments about washing them before sending them back, I would have not kept them. After I washed and dried them one time they became the fluffiest, most absorbent towels you could hope for. Incredibly soft. And, of course, I kept them. So if you are disappointed when you receive these towels, reserve judgement until you launder them. The difference is night and day.

Ordered one set to replace a brand that was being used at my Airbnb. That brand is no longer available. The Lane Linen towel set was a very good replacement. In fact, I liked them so much that I ordered another set so I could replace any damaged towels in the future.

These towels are awful. When you take them out of the plastic wrap you immediately notice that they are covered in lint and loose threads. After washing them and clogging up the dryer vent with a huge mass of lint, the towels still shed lint on everything - the shower, the tub, the sink, the vanity, the floor and you. Several full cycle washings later this is still the case, plus the seams will now start to open up and pulled threads will pop up up all over them. The towels do absorb some water, but they are extremely thin and soak easily. Trying to dry off with them is like drying yourself with a wet wash cloth. The towels also have an unpleasant, slippery feel due to the "mercerized cotton" (the cotton is chemically treated with sodium hydroxide in order to create a shiny luster). This towel set will be immediately discarded as soon as the replacements I ordered arrive. They are not worth saving, not even for rags.

UPDATE MARCH 2023: I have decided to replace these towels. They are basic and already after just a few months of use and washes (towels are used twice before making it to the hamper, and never washed or dried on the hottest setting, never bleached), they feel like I've had them for years, not months. Also, the fabric at the detail seems to have shrunk. Kind of wish I went with my gut when I opened the package and sent them back. -------- I bought these during the pre-Prime Day deals, based on the great price and reviews, expecting not the highest-end quality towels, but still better than I received. Our towels were getting a little tired, so I saw this deal for a good sized set, description and reviews suggested these would be thicker and soft, so I jumped. I know towels need to be washed and dried to fluff, so immediately into the laundry they went, but I was skeptical even out of the box. The towels didn't fluff, and honestly don't feel much different from our tired towels. They're new, they work, but not worth the hype. Good if you're expecting basic towels. Also, they grey is more blue-grey than pictured. No big deal for me, but as an FYI before you buy, it's not a true grey. 3/5, don't recommend if you're looking for something better than basic towels.

Does not shed any product, and the size is perfect! Very easy to wash, and the color does not fade.

These towels shed so badly that I threw them all away. It was a waster of money!
