Self-adhesive Pickups Piezo Transducer, 3 in 1 Microphone Contact & Endpin Jack 1/4" for Electronic Acoustic Guitar Violin Ukulele

The product arrived from one day to the next. It came in a cushioned envelope. Upon opening it I noticed one of the piezos had broken white film-it was chipping away, the soldering was intact though. I had a decision to make- keep it or send it back??? For the price and having passed the test (hooked it to an amp to test it) I kept it. I reamed out my guitar endpin hole to 1/2” with Stewmac reamer I bought here on Amazon a couple of weeks back (along with some smaller drills to start the hole) I had the piezo installed in my classical guitar in no time. The threads on the jack can get cross threaded so don’t force it. As far as placement for the three piezos I just somewhat evenly spaced them just forward of the bridge ( similar to the K&K model) as best I could, my guitar has bracing. The piezos have 3M adhesive that work well I slightly tugged under the base of one of the piezos(not by the cable) and it was on there. So once you put them on you might not be able to move them without something damaging or falling apart. I then stuck the zip tie with the other base to hold the cables. Sound wise, I used a Fender Mini passport, the amp has different presets I simply found the best one that worked. I found in some cases I had to really blast the volume and in some cases there was too much volume(depending on preset). I did use a feedback buster(soundhole cover) but in some cases I still got some feedback. In my setup there was to much bass not enough mids or trebles ( results will vary depending on placement of piezos) and of course volume was controlled from the amp. I play at church but I think this pickup will only be used at home to jam and practice. All in all it was nice to electrify an old Yamaha classical guitar. For what it is and the price, I recommend it.

I bought this so I can mix guitar and vocals and "play along" music while practicing. It wasn't too hard to install, but takes some thought. I did find that after playing for a bit, the endpin wanted to come loose. I used a few red threadlock drops and it's been tight ever since. The sound is pretty good. I mounted two piezos onto the bottom of the bridge (one on the "treble" string side and one on the "bass" string side) and one to the body just in front of the middle of the bridge. I just use the preamp on the mixer and it's a good mix. I suspect that a dedicated preamp would sound better, but for what I need it's surprisingly good with really no buzz. EDIT: still going strong after almost a year and a half. I just got a Behringer ADI21 pedal, which is about $35 and it makes this pickup set sound amazing. So for less than $50 all in, I have a VERY nice sounding cheapo guitar. FYI, this is mounted in a Jasmine S34C, which is incredible also for the price.

This is a decent little pickup, and it is relatively easy to install. As with all pickups of this type, proper placement and good adhesion of the "pads" is mandatory for obtaining good performance. One thing to keep in mind is that the "pads" are significantly larger in diameter than those on a K&K or JJB, so finding room on the bridge plate may be a challenge. I installed this on a dreadnought that I use for travel and knock-about use, and it works fine. I actually only used 2 of the 3 pads (one on either end of the bridge plate where there was room). I clipped the 3rd one off and sealed the wire ends with heat shrink. I have a little Fender Acoustasonic, and I do not need a pre-amp for moderate amplification. I certainly would not install this pickup in a high end guitar, but it is certainly good enough for most others. YMMV.

I installed it on my banjo. I thought it would be smart to stick one disc underneath where I strum it…bad idea! The scraping of the strings and tapping of my strumming hand on the banjo head really stuck out. I pulled off that disc and cut the wire as it was SUPER hard to pull it off and bent the disc and broke its wire lead. No matter. There were two left under where the bridge sits and the cut off lead did not buzz. The sound is pretty darn good now! There are better sounding piezo pickups, but they cost a lot more than $10! The female jack is big and beefy. I am not worried about it breaking over time. The screw on cap makes it look very nice, like my banjo came with this from the factory. I highly recommend this pickup. Excellent value!

Easy to install, but sound quality is very much on the treble side. Turn up the bass on your mixer and it should be fine though. Also, watch videos to see where to place them. I think under the bridge works best.

I have about 20 years of experience with acoustic/electric guitars, preamps and pickups. Some of my favorites have been Seymour Duncan Wavelength (formerly DTAR), Fishman Prefix Premium Blend, LR Baggs Element and K&K. I wanted to go out on a limb and try something cheap to see if I could compare it to these. This pickup system purchased on amazon for under 10 bucks. It is similar in design to the K&K. I believe that this one is more feedback prone and I cannot yet speak for longevity. I will say that it sounds no where near as good as the K&K however. The Pure Mini is 10 times more expensive and sounds at least ten times better. I wouldn’t put this in a guitar I paid more than $100 for.

Good pickup solution at a low price. Take time and figure out where you get the best sound before permanently attaching them. I removed the adhesive backing and glued them to my guitar just past the bridge. I don't notice the low bass issue another reviewer mentioned, but I did have two of them more towards the bass guitar strings and the third dead even with the high E. They are a little microphonic, but that is lessened by putting them in the right spot inside the guitar. Overall, you can't beat it for $10.

We installed this kit in my concert size ukulele. The sound is loud and now I can rock out! My husband was about send the kit back because we couldn’t figure out how to thread the jack through the hole because it looked impossible without having super long skinny fingers. We took a length of heavy wire (like a coat hanger) and taped a paper clip to it. We hooked the paperclip through the little hole in the jack and pulled it through the hole we drilled in the uke and it worked great! We found a video on YouTube that showed a guy installing a system similar to this one. I attached the piezos behind the bridge.

I use them on an upright bass and they are ok! A little experimenting helps in terms of placement, so use doublesided tape to find out where before you pull the adhesive backing off.

No installation instructions, however, found installation instruction video on Youtube which assisted. Sound is quite good and "chorus and reverb" are effective. All in all, this amplifier is worth the price,

Didn't hold in place, have to clean the self-adhesive and use glue. NO complaint , sound is nice and true ! JP

Not overly fussy about this product. The set up to engage the jack into the receptacle was off just enough to miss the connection necessary for function. Im trying to reset the distance the jack can go in, but there's only so many threads on the finish button... doesn't seem to wanna work with me. If it happens with the second one I got... I'll send it back.
