Award-winning author and instructor Raghavan Iyer explores the origin of curry across the globe with 50 recipes in this illustrated cookbook about the simmering, scrumptious history and lore of a globally beloved dish.โ Review: Great curry journey around the world - Well written recipes, easy to follow. Entertaining and informative background information and stories about the history and journey of "curry" and it's adaption around the world. A joy to cook and to read. Review: The Master of Indian curries for the Western cooks like myself - Iyer was the master of Indian cooking and especially wonderful for Western cooks like myself. His recipes for various curry powers are unique with ingredients easy to find at the local grocery store. I was saddened by his death at the end of March '23, just as I was getting to know his unique talents for delicious and easy dishes. Fortunately his book, "660 Curries" is still available as well as this last effort completed in his final weeks.

Superb book on the history and geographical spread of curries, with recipes as well.
It is often easy to forget that certain food preparations are similar across the globe. In this case the focus is on curry, and the varous styles found inside and outside the Indian Subcontinent. If you want a basic recipe and ' how to do it book' this does the job to as certain extent, but it is far more than just a recipe book . It really is an interesting read and a bit of an eye opener if your only idea of curry is a CTM. Well recommended.
