Womens Pocket Watch

I love watches and clocks - I have loved them since childhood. This pocket watch long necklace is perfect. The artwork on the front is delicate and lovely, the scrollwork on the back is elegant, and the watch itself is nice quality with easy to read features. I saw someone complaining that it's not upside down - this is not a nurse's watch for taking pulse. It's not SUPPOSED to be upside down. It's a pocket watch on a necklace chain. I am 5'5" and the pendant comes to the bottom of my ribcage, front and center. It is the perfect length for a sweater. The metal of the pocket watch and of the chain look to be of a nice quality, not dingy or cheap looking. They look like decent quality silver. At first, I thought the watch battery was dead, but it turned out I needed to push the crown ring, that you adjust to set the time, all the way down to engage the watch so that it would start keeping time. It has a lovely soft ticking that you can hear in a quiet room - just the right level of sound - faint and comforting. I adore my new pocket watch necklace! Thank you for making a good quality product for an affordable price, VIGOROSO! I imagine it sparkles in sunlight! I haven't taken it outside yet.

Very pretty

I had ordered a necklace/pocket watch prior to this one. Two days later it quit working, so i returned it. I ordered this watch, and after two weeks, it's still keeping good time. The watch is easy to open and close, and it's easy to read the time. Very nice watch. I only have one complaint ~ the chain is a little too long, in my opinion. However, i would much prefer it to be too long than too short, and it was easily remedied by doubling about 2" of the chain near the ring end, and hooking the clasp through both the original ring end of the chain, and a link in the chain at the length i wanted. The chain is still long enough to go over my head without having to unclasp it every time i put it on. Beautiful watch (both front AND back, and would make a lovely gift. Well worth the price!

I purchased the VIGOROSO Quartz Beautiful Peony Bird Enamel Painting Steampunk Silver Pocket Watch last December (2024). The item was very pretty and worked perfectly well for about a year. Recently, it stopped working. I was disappointed about this because the item had always been treated with kid gloves. I reached out to the seller, and they promptly got back to me and offered to send out a replacement (though, that ended up not being necessary because Amazon ended up providing a courtesy credit for the item - just to be clear, this was due to a non-seller related issue). I am posting this review in response to the seller's willingness to make things right. I will also note that the seller did not, in any way, solicit this review (I just really appreciate it when a company stands by its products).

Product was exactly as described; very nice!

These are great watches; I got two, this one and the same watch except with a dragon. I have owned numerous pocket watches and these are the best yet for feel and quality.. They don't feel like they are going to fly to pieces when you open the cover. Pushing and pulling the stem is positive and does not result in the death of the watch as it does on so many others. The case is nice, thick, and heavy = it just feels like quality. Opening and closing the case is smooth and deliberate. HOWEVER, either the manufacturer opted to use poor quality batteries; or, these watches have been around in storage a long time. The one with the dragon lasted about a week before I had to replace the battery; it has been steadily marching on and keeping accurate time ever since = several months. This one, upon arrival, the second hand would lurch along and completely stop for a couple seconds about every four seconds. I removed and tested the battery = 1.39-volts = DEAD. I tested a new battery I had at hand = 1.59-volts. I installed the new battery - at my expense - and the watch has been running steadily for a few hours now. My advice: if the price is around ten bucks, go ahead and buy this watch; BUT, also order a package of fresh quality batteries and expect to replace the battery within days of arrival. If you are gifting this watch, put a fresh battery in it before presenting it to the recipient; it is embarrassing to give someone something that quits working in a few days.

This item is decent enough. In person, it looks some kind of imitation steel alloy - not like silver at all. Those saying it looks like silver probably have limited experience with real silver. The chain looks eh, but for the price it's what you'd expect. I have others that I can use instead. I also really don't like that I received them in the box already working. This means that the battery has been running for who knows how long. Looking at it, I actually prefer the interior of the watch much more than the exterior. While it is a unique looking item, I'm likely to return it. If I saw this in a store, I'd likely pay about $5-10 for it because of the novelty. It's something I would wear more for a costume or give to a teen or kid than of a quality I would ear as an adult.

Beautiful. Works well. Chain broke twice already.

I bought the one with the roses on the front. Really beautiful. It's got some heft to it, not chintzy. It came with a long chain, average size links, and I think it hung down to the bottom of my ribs. I purchased it to be clasped to my purse, however, so I replaced the chain with my own clip. Latch works well. The time mechanism was not engaged on arrival, so the battery was not being used up... which I appreciated. Easy to set. Is keeping time well so far, but I've only had it a day. Lovely piece for the price!
