I was really impressed with the quality, especially for the price. I've used it as a boom mic stand. I use the boom arm that comes with it and a 1/4 inch adapter to put a boom mic on. I've used it at full extension and it holds it fine without the weight bag, but have also used the weight bag just to give it a bit better balance. There was no need for me to get an adapter to put my boom pole on the stand. Excellent quality, very sturdy for the weight of it - which is very light to carry. Doesn't come with a carrying case would be the only downside but not surprised for the price.

I really wanted to like this stand. As far as light stands go it's great quality, as far as C-Stands go I can't recommend it. I wouldn't put anything heavier than an Aputure MC on it as once you've extended the pole up and out, even with counterweight it bends like crazy so I wouldn't feel comfortable putting a bigger light with a client underneath. It's a decent weight, size and functionality wise the air cushioning works how it should with heavy lights. Easy to use since it's just clips but value for money If you want a C-Stand buy a different one!

Best light stand I’ve ever bought The build quality is, at this price point, head and shoulders above the competition I’m hoping they do standard stands as I now hate me others and when it’s time to replace them I will be looking for SmallRig I’ve been using one of these professional for about six months now and whilst not studio grade the stand is extremely robust and portable and has literally made my job easier

This stand is sturdy and well made. It does exactly what I need it to do. A sandbag was included which is very useful. There is no storage bag but I was aware of that when I purchased it.

Amazing stuff. I’m so happy to have this gear. Very good quality. In terms of materials and build quality I’m impressed. Without any issues holds Canon Eos R6mk2 + EF 24-105 + converter with fully extended arm and counter weight. And while you are adjusting position of your camera or light it stay still. Recommend it.

Ive had a few light stands and boom arms at this price point but none of them were this well made. Smallrig have made this light, relatively portable and the grip mechanism is simple and very nicely engineered. on my other ones ive bought, the grip is usually the first thing to go because its so flimsy but this is clearly very well made. The air cushioning is so nice as well. I can't believe the price on this. You are definelty getting bang for your buck with this UPDATE: I've now used the nightstand and boom arm on three shoots and it's so good I had to come back and update my review. it's every bit as good as I said and more! the mechanisms are light but really well made. doesn't feel like its going to break ever, especially when m tightening and loosing the levers. I just bought two more to complete the set. Especially because it's small for what it should be and light too. I don't use a sandbag weight on the end. I've been using my backlog with the enclosed d ring and carabiner hook. works really great

The stand was exactly as described. Used it to support an over head strobe light with an umbrella soft box. The stand was very sturdy through the shoot. And I was pleasantly surprised on how well it was constructed.

I love it to create overhead content. It’s quite stable but bulky
