Ricky's Ultimate YouTube Guitar Lesson Compilation: 80 Lessons With Links To Video Tutorials

I started guitar lessons back in April 2024. I felt confused and just didn't believe I was making any progress. Then I found Ricky's youtube page. He teaches things that students what to know 1st. Like how to learn the fretboard - something in 6 months my guitar teacher refused to do. I bought this book and I know I'm making progress now. 1 critique I have is the book could do with QR codes for the lessons in order to reach the video that goes with each page. Just remember "EggsFried" & "BaconCrispy". Thanks Ricky

Great book to go with YouTube videos - Very helpful. Full of info from PDF's produced to go with each YouTube lesson posted by Ricky. Compelling viewing for anyone learning to play guitar.

So this isn't an organised course. It's a set of resources that accompany Ricky's YouTube videos. They are great. I like them but I wish there was more logic in the order of the lessons. You seem to jump all over the place. That said he is very consistent in many areas. He pushes the pentatonic patterns and CAGED heavily throughout, for example. Despite it being a little bit rambling, I still like the bite size chunks of learning and there is a lot of useful stuff. Just don't expect a well-crafted consistent course. It isn't that kind of resource, but if you are buying this likely you know that from the videos already.

This is a must have for anyone who wants to learn to play guitar..

If you check out Ricky's brilliant Youtube channel you will find he has a unique range of guitar lessons (with touch of Yorkshire humour !) Each lesson usually has a PDF to compliment the lesson. This book is a comprehensive resource of these PDFs. This is a fantastic idea to put the them all in one book with links to the actual Youtube lessons. I really can't recommend it enough.

Great book when combined with YouTube videos. Some really good ideas I haven’t seen anywhere else. Watch YouTube first to see if this is the thing for you. I found the videos and book opened up my playing, and it is fun.

Ricky's YouTube channel is also brilliant and links to all the lessons in this book. It's a positive investment and well worth every penny. Brilliant.

It is a must-buy for anyone serious about learning music and how to interpret your music through the guitar.

5 stelle per Ricky. Lo seguo sul suo canale internet e acquistare il suo libro un must. Forse forse una versione con spirale sarebbe più utile (o forse oggi è già disponibile). Mi mancano poche lezioni ed è finito. Grazie per averlo scritto.

ce n'est pas une méthode d'apprentissage de la guitare, ne s'adresse pas aux grands débutants en revanche si vous gratouiller déjà un peu, et que vous voulez comprendre votre instrument pour vous exprimer et faire enfin de la musique et non plus appliquer bêtement des recettes toutes faites, foncez ! C'est un recueil de leçons indépendantes, très claires, compactes qui prends encore plus de valeur accompagné du support vidéos sur internet Ricky partage son expérience, avec une pédagogie extraordinaire au service des concepts les plus essentiels de la guitare en particulier et de la musique en général connaissance du manche , accords , gammes , système CAGED tout est connecté plus certaines approches que je n'ai jamais vu ailleurs le tout en distillant le strict nécessaire de théorie musicale pour ceux a qui ca fait peur. Comme le titre le suggère le livre est entièrement en anglais ainsi que les vidéos Ca vaut le coup, il vous évitera les écueils habituels de l 'apprenti guitariste autodidacte, malgré les années de pratique une certaine aisance "technique" cette impression de stagner, de ne pas être à l'aise avec son instrument , incapable d improviser, ou de s'adapter tout simplement de s'exprimer avec son instrument
