I bought this hat for a trip to Africa where I would need serious sun protection and it worked perfectly! I know some folks complained about it ripping but I haven't had that issue and I've put the hat through it. I think this is either a quality flaw in some of the hats or they rolled it too tightly when they packed it (put underwear or socks inside the "roll" so it's not too tight). Mine has been going strong through several trips, including a month of traveling all around Europe where I packed (/rolled) and unpacked it countless times. This is now my go-to travel/sun hat. The fact that it packs nicely save vital suitcase space. Big bonus that it's fashionable enough that goes with pretty much every summer outfit without looking too much like a goofy sun protection hat. Buy it! You won't regret it!

I lost my old beach hat and had to find a new one. Every store I went to wanted $40 to $75 for a similar hat. When I looked on Amazon I was surprised and delighted with this new one, especially the price. The brim is generous and keeps the sun off my face and shoulders. The light, neutral color matches any color bathing suit or shirt. The hat came packed with a firm plastic form inside the crown which I will use when packing it in my suitcase. I'm glad I lost my old hat!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I recently bought this for a pioneer trek so that I could keep the sun off my face and neck. This hat is so cute, fits perfectly, and is good quality. It came with instructions on how to reshape if needed, and I loved that those were included as I had no idea how to do that. I would highly recommend this hat. I plan on wearing mine all summer long!

I love this hat. It's fashionable and perfect for hours in the sun . I purchased a large and it was easily adjusted to fit my head. I highly recommend it for boating and the beach.

Super lightweight and flexible material, great color options. I got the larger size to be able to fit around my hair and not feel too snug. Not too wide of a brim but just enough to cover your face and ears. Not giving full 5 stars because I was a little disappointed in the quality and the string holes not being centered on the side or even with each other.

The perfect summer hat! I got this for my summer walk and to wear to the lake. It fits great, looks great and keeps the sun off of my face. What more do you want from a hat?

I’m a Florida girl, and I enjoy this hat. Great for picnics, hiking, beaching, gardening, working in the yard. Weight is light, you can adjust it to fit your head. It has a plastic mold that a copy of the hat that you put your hat on to keep its shape. I got the Black with the brown leather trimmings. Get a lot of compliments on it. I thought it was priced very fairly. It seems to be very sturdy and just damp cloth wipe it down inside and out then place it on the molded hat holder. Enjoy!

Wow, such a great hat! The 50% SPF block keeps me from frying when boating or gardening. The chin strap also keeps me from loosing it while boating. Got one for my Husband too!
