I bought the KEYESTUDIO GPIO Breakout Kit for my teenage son who recently got into Raspberry Pi and coding, and it’s honestly one of the best beginner-friendly kits we’ve tried. Everything you need to start tinkering with GPIO is right here — the breakout board connects seamlessly with the Pi (we tested it on both a Pi 4 and 3B+), and the solderless breadboard makes experimenting super easy without the stress of making permanent connections. The included LEDs, resistors, and push buttons are perfect for learning the basics — blinking lights, button inputs, and even simple logic projects. The GPIO cable is clearly labeled and fits snugly, making setup straightforward even for someone with little electronics experience. What really impressed me was the quality of the components. Nothing felt flimsy or cheap, and the breakout board itself is solid with good pin labels. I needed this kit last minute, it had all the parts I needed for testing, they were all working perfectly fine.

Luckily the component I bought it for (breakout board) works fine, but the resistors are so laughably thin that they are absolutely useless in the circuit. If you ever bought an Elegoo kit, these resistors are even thinner than that. They drop right into the breadboard with no force, and they don't work to resist current. They were so frustrating to use that I had to deduct 2 stars, because why cheap out on what are already the cheapest components of the kit?

Not sure which component is/was causing my problems. I experienced many issues where I had to wiggle resistors in order to get connections to the breadboard to work
