Great keyboard case for the iPad mini
Great keyboard case for the iPad mini. The build feels sturdy and provides good protection, while the 130° rotating hinge makes it easy to switch between typing, viewing, and tablet modes. The Bluetooth keyboard connects quickly and is comfortable for emails and notes despite the compact size. It adds a bit of weight, but overall it’s a great value if you want to turn your iPad mini into a small productivity setup.

Good for short prose and strong protective casing.
Lovely little keyboard that makes the iPad mini look like a mini laptop. People with larger hands will find it takes time to get used to the smaller keys and will slip letters. The return key is also smaller so you will slip that too. If you only need to type short passages then this serves its purpose. But for longer prose it will be frustrating due to easily missing keys even with smaller fingers. I like that it has a power switch so you can only have it on when you need it. I also like that the keyboard can be detached and the protective case is a strong plastic one. The angle could be better with the hinges as it doesn’t go back as far as is adequate. So you may find that you detach the screen in order to angle it better for viewing. I like that there is a caps lock light. The case is heavy and very noticeable- so expect your bag to feel heavy! I also found that if you extend the screen to the furthest angle it causes it to topple back due to the heavy weighted keyboard which causes the push back. So you have to keep the screen at angle which you may not like. It would have been good if the keyboard had backlighting- but the light from the screen is sufficient due to the size of the keyboard. For me the case serves its purpose for typing short pieces of work quickly wherever I am and in a convenient way. There is some wasted space at the top and bottom of the keyboard which could have been used by elongating the keys and perhaps helped the typing experience. Lastly there are indents for a pencil to magnetically attach. I guess the product is niche so can justify the pricing- so I would probably say the keyboard is worth it.

Good all-round case/keyboard - but beware the weight & thickness!
Whilst the dimensions and weight were clearly quoted in the product details I hadn’t appreciated how heavy it turned out! My fault of course - but it feels as if it’s doubled the device weight🙈 This said, the keyboard itself is well constructed with good positive travel on individual keys. Also a plus is it offers good edge protection, unlike Apple’s own keyboard for my 11” ipad pro (2019), so for the money I guess I’ll be keeping it.

Great Keyboard Case
Case is great - keys are obviously small but manageable for my average hands, it’s not been that difficult to use compared to a regular keyboard. It does add a lot of weight but I think this is ideal; I’ve used cases before where the keyboard was lighter and the tablet would constantly be falling over. Feels very durable and well made, keys strike nicely. Looks just like the pictures. One thing to note - despite not being mentioned in the instructions, the keyboard does detach, contrary to some reviews. It’s quite stiff the first time but it’s just magnetically attached to the keyboard - I’ll attach photos

Great Idea, but Limited Angles and Poor Typing Experience
This is a great concept that essentially turns your iPad into a mini laptop. However, in practice, it has a few drawbacks. The viewing angles are quite limited—you can’t tilt the iPad back very far, which makes it less comfortable to use in different positions. The keyboard also takes some getting used to, and even after a week of use, I didn’t find it particularly enjoyable for typing. In fact, I ended up switching to a different case fairly quickly. If you do a lot of typing on your iPad every day, you might be better off investing in a Logitech keyboard instead. While this case is a nice idea, it doesn’t quite deliver the best typing experience.

Only keyboard case you'll need if you don't mind the weight
Okay so right from the off: this case is heavy. The weight is all in the lower half, the keyboard, and it essentially doubles or even triples the actual weight of the iPad Mini itself. If your top requirement is a light keyboard case then this definitely won't be for you. But if you don't mind about the weight - wow, is this thing good. I spent weeks researching the right case for my Mini and was half-tempted to pull the trigger on one of the £80 metal ones (but put off by the average reviews) when this one came up in my recommendations. I won't lie, I thought the mid-90's CDi grey wasn't the best look for it but that is my only criticism because in all other regards it is perfect. (Note that the grip section of the case is rubber but all other sides are hard plastic, meaning you can go ham with decorating it if the grey isn't to your liking - I have washi tape and stickers on mine and they stick well). The keyboard is really comfortable to type on. I use a full size keyboard for work so when typing on this it can take a couple of minutes to adjust to the fact that some of the punctuation is accessed with the command key whilst others are accessed with the function key, but the actual typing experience itself is great; the keys have enough height to feel like you're pushing them down and are well spaced apart. I have probably 'middle sized' hands and I don't feel it's particularly difficult to get into the swing of it and have written several long Word docs with no issues. The 'screen' section holds the iPad very sturdily (there's literally no way it could fall out) and docks with the keyboard equally sturdily both facing towards and away from the keyboard. This is great because, obviously, you need to see the screen when typing but also if you want to watch something the facing-away feature gives you some really nice viewing options, and the hinge is very 'stiff' so that it holds itself up no matter the angle. This also ensures the unit stays closed when it's in your bag. The rubber is also thinner on the magnetic side of the tablet so that you can charge your Apple Pencil 2 without needing to take the iPad out of the case. Finally the battery life - I've used the unit for about 50 hours without charging it so far, but I tend to charge everything overnight so it's not a "full" test and not something I'm personally fussed about. So for me, this case is perfect and does everything I want at a third or quarter of the price of other units that aren't so well reviewed. But, again, if you need a light case then this definitely won't be your jam!

Very nice case and keyboard
the keyboard works well and was easily set up using fn key and c, would have liked the keys to light for easy use at night that the bridges key board did with old mini ipad but bridges dont make one for the new one so such is life. It don’t have a touch pad but for £40 its well worth the money. Haven’t tried it in laptop bag yet to test the Magnetic strength on flights but seams strong enough. Update:- After a year the hinge became very stiff but on contacting Arteck they supplied a replacement Case which i have just received plus Arteck have extended the warranty for another 2 years, so very happy.

Great hardware, worth adjusting to the compromise layout
There’s a lot that I like about this: it’s got great battery life even if I don’t switch it off between uses, it charges by seemingly any USB-C charger like the Mini itself, the hinge is very stable and usable to type on your lap, the key travel feels pretty good and the key spacing is reasonable, and the two-part case means it’s really easy to pop the iPad off of the keyboard half and, say, read on it like a kindle. It seems pretty sturdy as a case, and I haven’t worried about it rattling around a shoulder bag. The main downside is that it’s a very tiny keyboard, and rather than make *very* tiny keys they put some characters behind function combos—quote, apostrophe, brackets/braces, and then the question mark and slashes are still their own keys but have moved down next to the spacebar. Comma, period (and thus less-than / greater-than) are about where you’d expect. I’m not sure there’s a better trade-off they could have made, but it does take time to adjust to. The keyboard adds a decent amount of weight, but I think if it weighed any less it would tip over backwards too easily. I bought this keyboard and then spent a few months occasionally using it and otherwise just putting my iPad in the Apple flip cover instead because of the unfamiliar layout. But I’m so much faster typing with even a tiny and oddly-laid-out keyboard than on the touchscreen, that I adjusted to it—and at first it helped that iOS is pretty aggressive about auto-correcting “missing apostrophe” type mistakes that I could just skip typing those rather than hunt for the function combo. The keyboard is different enough from a full size keyboard that, for me, I now just have a different muscle memory for it. And the ability to quickly pop the tablet off of the keyboard is fantastic, and especially good for the Mini, which is so pleasant to hold like a paperback book or a small pad of paper. So in the end I’ve come to love it, and now this case is on my iPad mini full time.

No warranty support
It was great while it lasted but developed a fault after 4 months where the hinge wouldn’t fully close. Tried to contact their warranty support through their email and through Amazon but never heard anything back.

One of the best keyboard cases for iPad Mini
When on promo, this Arteck keyboard case for iPad Mini is under $40, making it a great value. It basically turns your iPad Mini 6/7 into a mini laptop, and because the case is undockable from the keyboard, you can easilly use your iPad Mini as a tablet without removing it from case... brilliant. The case and keyboard does add some weight and bulk, but it does have a solid construction and the case does seem like it can protect your iPad Mini from bumps and drops. The typing experience is good, well about as good as you can expect from a keyboard this size. There are some compromises as certain keys are not in the same position as regular size keyboard, so your touch typing speeds will be slower. However, the feel of the keys, the key travel and slight tactile bumps makes typing light notes and emails a good experience. This is just a keyboard without a trackpad, which is something I prefer as I want more space for the keys instead of a micro sized trackpad. I've tried other keyboard cases with trackpads for iPad Mini and none were very good. It's easier just to bring a compact Bluetooth mouse instead of having a poor trackpad experience.
