Daily for breakfast I have a toasted slice with butter and orange marmalade with my egg. I love it. Tasty and healthy, as well as filling.

This is a review for the Mestemacher Bread Three Grain, 17.6-Ounce (Pack of 6). There are several Mestemacher breads on the market and so far, each would live up to this very positive review. Even if the bread was not so excellent, I must say the company was immediate and very helpful when an issue arose. The Three grain, is a long rectangular slice, not the usual square slice. I find the long oblong slice more enjoyable to eat – don’t know why but maybe it is just being non-customary makes its experience more enjoyable. The bread’s texture is moist, compressed grains, and invitingly scrumptious. One can sense the grains and moist nature of the compound. The bread has a molasses, raisin, nutty taste. The taste is scrumptious. It is pleasantly chewy and substantial as to satiating hunger. I usually toast the bread and have used it as a sandwich, scoop for vegetable foods and as a cracker. Works great in all bread functions. I have even crumpled the bread and added it to soups to make them more hearty. It comes pre-sliced so you will have to make due. I had a problem with the last of six deliveries over the past few months. (I do like the bread and obviously have re-ordered.) I noticed the company of the issue, just to let them know. Within hours they explained the issue, and fixed the matter – on their own volition. Great bread – great company. Try it!

My first subscribe and save order of this bread arrived today. I never had it before, but it met my nutritional needs and the reviews are good, so I thought I'd take a chance and it was a good choice. However, there is never a way to know the expiration date of perishables we buy on Amazon until arrival, and such is the case with this bread. I'd asked a question about this and customers responded 6-12 months on the shelf. Well, my case just arrived, February 27, and the expiration date is 7-7-13, just over four months. This short for me as I don't eat a lot of bread, MAYBE a loaf a month, and when I do buy bread at the store, I never finish a loaf before it spoils. I wanted a pantry bread, not a freezer bread. Flavor is hearty, you can feel the grains; texture heavy and crumbly. I like it. I didn't expect to open and find the slices to be long across the top. The package is not resealable, so it's necessary to put it in something else once opened. About the expiration date: I talked with Amazon support about the expiration date and was refunded half the purchase price, which I didn't expect. This kind of service is why I come to Amazon to buy just about everything, first. Edited to add: You MUST refrigerate (or freeze, as some reviewers have suggested) this bread once opened unless you eat it within 3 days. My first loaf stored in an air tight Tupperware began to mold at that point. Good bread.

I use the bread for Danish open face sandwiches. I almost stopped buying it, because I got 3 bad orders from you. I have always figured about 3% spillage, that's why no complaints from me, but when it went above that 3 times last year, is when I almost stopped getting it. Well, I have started buying it again, and so far in last 2 shipments, the bread has been fine, but be careful with how you ship it, it should be more protected against the environment here. I live in Desert Hot Springs CA; it gets over 100-degree Fahrenheit here. Sincerely Daisy U.
