They are the kings of the linen cupboard; truly products of some genius of the textile. A diligent wife, thorough in my duties, I began to notice occasional persistent stains in the fabric of the pillows on my husband's bed. I say 'heavily' as these are reassuringly expensive, though now essential items. The cost is offset by the requirement of just one set, however. I am content with my beige nylon pillow cases, purchased by my mother-in-law to celebrate our wedding, and being an unfussy sleeper, under my slumbering head, they survive many nights unscathed by pollution or secretions. My husband's, however, mysteriously become stained rather regularly. Oddly, there even seems to be a pattern to these occurrences.
