Not just for Breakfast
I love grits, but I have not had them in ages. I have cooked two packs so far on the stovetop using a cup of water. The recommended amount of water makes them a bit too thin, so I let them cook longer to thicken. Next time I will use less water. For lunch I ate the grits with a couple of fish cakes and some vegetables on the side. I added tomatoes on top for extra flavor and did not need to add any salt. The flavor is outstanding, and the meal tasted restaurant quality while still being very quick to make. It also made lunch feel much more unique. I usually buy the bulk packs of oatmeal, but I decided to try grits instead. These will be my go to option when I need a quick side dish for breakfast, lunch, or even dinner. I will definitely go through these faster than oatmeal, so I am glad they are cheaper. Two packs made more than I expected, so one pack may be enough for a side.
