Stanley 84-102 8-Inch Long Nose Plier

Just a decent pair of pliers, nothing to get excited about. Quality construction, pliers such as these have been produced for eons. They work well, plenty OK for the money. I purchased these and two other more expensive types, see my reviews of those too. Nice thing about these if you lose them it's not too much of a financial loss. They are a bit heavy considering their limited capabilities, just being pliers and a wire cutter, and nothing more.

The Stanley 84-101, 6 Inch Long Nose Cutting Plier lives up to the Stanley reputation in every respect. It is well-made, strong, feels good in your hand. I had absolutely no difficulty using it to thread wire through some very well-worn holes in the back of a picture frame I wanted to hang and snip the wire to length all in one operation. I love the balance - this is one tool everyone should have.

Just came today and I used them already. Quality and craftsmanship seem to be right in line with other brands but at a much better price. I think the 6 inch is just the right size. The cutters work just fine, and the jaws match up well. I have owned many other brands over the years and I would recommend this tool.

Nice pair of pliers. Good alignment and cutters are sharp work great. Use in my tackle box to grab hooks, cut line and hold split rings.

Probably 25 years ago I bought my dearly beloved a pair of long nose pliers that he loved. They were just the right size. They worked. They made him happy when he needed needle nose pliers. So when they disappeared about a month ago, he went nuts, and accused everyone of taking his favorite pliers. The ones that remained in his plier drawer were just too big! Too Wide! Too Long! While he scolded our sons for losing his pliers, I measured the Too Big Pliers, and then ordered these. 2 days later, I handed him a box, demanded that he open it, and he was delighted. These pliers operate easily with one hand, are small enough to hold a small nail in place when you need to start driving it, and work well for things like pulling staples or nails. They feel fairly heavy and sturdy. And whoever lost the original green pliers has been (probably) forgiven.

Works well, rusts easily on exterior. Hinge abit sticky but its cheap, and it works. I like a spring but its explicit that it doesn't have one. Too much friction for a spring to work anyway. It will do the job but you wont fetishize it, like, say my leatherman.

Can't really go wrong with these - they do exactly what they are meant to and with Stanley you know it will be a high quality product. I factor the price into my reviews as I expect a more expensive product to perform better and/or have a longer life span than a less expensive product. However, I review every product as if I had paid the full price for it. I do a lot of my shopping online and I rely heavily on other customers reviews (both positive and negative) when making my purchasing decisions so my review is a true representation of my opinion.

Needed new needle nose pliers so went after the Stanley brand and I was not disappointed. These are good quality pliers that are well made. They are sturdy and function well. Unlike a previous reviewer, these pliers were fine and closed properly. I have used them many many times and never had an issue.

Stanley always delivers quality products. This too is so cute and sturdy. Little Goliath.

Not a lot to say, they are only pliers at the end of the day.
