Edifier S351DB Bookshelf Coaxial, Bluetooth, Optical and Auxiliary Speaker and Subwoofer 2.1 System Wireless Sound for Study Rooms, Living Rooms & Dens Black

The Edifier S351DB is excellent once you connect it correctly. I was getting A LOT of popping in skips and pause then play and it was RUINING my experience until I spent $16 on a JSAUX 3.5mm→RCA cable. Here’s what worked connecting to my PC and I’ve tested both the PC/AUX and both work. I use PC option though: 1) PC: 3.5mm wire into the GREEN Line-Out 2) Speakers: match red and white with colors on PC/AUX 3) Important: UNPLUG any optical/TOSLINK wires you had before otherwise it won’t play 4) Select PC/AUX on the remote After that, crystal-clear audio and solid, controlled bass. Build quality feels premium, the sub integrates well (great for movies, games, music, etc.) and Bluetooth is handy (But honestly never used). Verdict: great speakers - just add the $16 cable and you’re golden.

I ordered these twice unfortunately, the first time they were on sale for $350 CAD because of black friday. The item was "damaged in shipping", I never even had it delivered to me, amazon automatically refunded me without asking if I wanted a replacement one. The issue is, by the time the refund went through, they were no longer on sale. I contacted amazon customer service and explained the situation, then I was promised by an AMAZON AGENT that I would be reimbursed the extra $150 if I reordered. I reordered because I thought I could trust amazon's word, when I received the item I called amazon customer service and all they said to me is that the agent I spoke with gave me a "False promise" and refused to rectify the situation in any way. Then I contacted edifier to see if they could help even though I didn't think they could and they also were unable to help. Extremely frustrating! Now on to the speakers, they are great. The sound is crisp and clean, bass is deep, treble is crisp. Leaps and bounds better than my Logitech Z623's which blew out in a few months and were nowhere near as crisp as these. I do however think that buying them for their original price of $500 CAD is a little overpriced and if you can get them on sale they would be so worth it. Just please be cautious ordering on sale as you may end up getting lied to by amazon agents. Overall, I love these speakers so much, I use them for every audio application I need, gaming, music, movies, you name it, these will be amazing for it. Though, I wish I hadn't payed full price.

Excellent quality all around. Audio quality is fantastic, and although I haven't used any speakers more expensive than these to compare with, it's almost certainly beyond where I'm able to differentiate. The satellites are solid and look real classy in person, the knobs on the right speaker are well made, speaker cables are long and very well-shielded (no interference from an especially noisy wireless modem a couple feet away), and the connectivity is great. I don't use the remote, but it's got all the functionality I could ever want from it if I need to. I got these for my PC to replace a truly ancient Klipsch 2.1 Pro Media set (that's still working great, FWIW), and it really is a huge improvement to use modern, full-featured speakers. The price has unfortunately risen considerably from when I bought them 2 years ago, but you're getting serious quality, at least. My 5 stars are taking into account the price I paid for them. Try to get them on sale if you're buying these. My only *minor* complaint about the hardware is that the subwoofer rests on rubber feet instead of a flat bottom, and they aren't removable. I know this is better for a wood floor, but setting it on carpet, the feet sink through and transmit a lot of thumping through the floor, so people below you will complain. It would be nice if the feet were removable for placing on carpet.
