Review: Such a good book Review: I really enjoyed the Flashpoint storyline with Bruce Wayne having died and Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne surviving the shooting outside the theatre with Joe Chill. That world was supposed to cease to exist once Flash (Barry Allen) and Thomas Wayne's Batman corrected the past and made sure Bruce Wayne would become Batman in the true timeline. *SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT* Unfortunately, Thomas Wayne wakes up realizing his world is still here. Which leads him to believe that the mission he and Barry Allen succeeded in, actually failed or SOMEONE has changed the outcome; yet again. Thomas must discover what went wrong and by all means destroy his world so that the world in which his son Bruce survives and becomes the Dark Knight is saved. There are some twists and turns and characters I've never come across make themselves a big part of the plot. I was disappointed I wouldn't get to see more of this world where Thomas plays the caped crusader, Martha Wayne is the Joker and many characters are no longer who they originally were in this splintered alternate reality. Luckily DC realized people enjoyed seeing this alternate reality and decided to delve into this confusing world a little bit more. It continues where Flashpoint ended and this could be read on it's own (lots of flashbacks to make sure the audience knows how different this alternate reality is and the history of this world.) I loved the graphic novel and I'm happy to add this to our growing collection. I highly suggest this comic if you didn't get enough of the Thomas Wayne version of Batman and if you just wanted to be exposed to this alternate reality a little longer. It did not disappoint!! It wrapped up the story nicely but also left a backdoor open (just in case this world has another story to share in the future.)

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. Flashpoint has always been one of my favourite stories. I had high expectations foe thus book but was afraid that it would not live up to the original. I am glad to say they did not go that way and decided to make this different from Flashpoint but keep many of the elements that make this a Flashpoint story. Flashpoint should not exist anymore but it does. How, why and who is responsible? This is what Thomas Wayne intends to find out and make them pay. As he has already made his peace with this world coming to an end. However the world is moving on. With it's own heroes and villains and their trials and tribulations. Also the reverberation are felt in the main DC universe. Being a continuity lover I really enjoyed the crossover elements of the Doomsday Clock, the Button and Crisis books in this book. I did also like the Time Lords being put into their place. Good artwork, good story (not rushed), the mystery was a bit obvious but still ok. The book finishes with a varient cover gallery.

Great story showing possibility of a different Batman. Makes you want to read more about him and how his character develops.
