Pip Posy the Big Balloon

….to Pip's balloon. The entire community's horror at the accidental bursting is vividly illustrated in their expressions. The author's and illustrator's ability to grab and hold the attention of 2 year old children is amazing. My granddaughter seems to instantly relate to the characters' changing emotions throughout the story and, as always, the peaceful ending in all Pip and Posy literature.

These Pip and Posy books are great at explaining emotions to little ones and talking through how to play with other children. I'm working my way through the collection!

Great series for children. One disappointment was not being notified the first one ordered (about the Scooter) back in June was coming...then in September I was notified it was no longer available.

Grandson loves Balloons and he loves the story. Nicely made book with great illustrations.

This author totally gets the 2-year-old mind. The popped balloon page (SPOILER ALERT) was the subject of much consternation.

I have fallen in love with the Pip and Posy series. Not only are the illustrations fabulous - I wouldn't expect anything less from Axel Scheffler - but the story is adorable. My son (aged 2) loves this book. He loves balloons, he loves to say "balloon!" The story is simple and yet engaging. Not much text on each page but enough to make the story interesting. He is able to join in with the story and shouts out "pop!" when the balloon pops... and "bubbles" when Posy has an idea... The illustrations are so lovely that there is plenty to look at and point out when going through the book again. It's certainly a good choice for 1.5 - 4 year olds. Great for a present too!

Big fans of Pip and Posy and this board book version is wonderful for little hands. Illustrations are bright and colourful as expected from the author and really detailed so you get so much more of the story for little ones.Wonderful tale about enjoying and losing a balloon and how a simple friendly gesture turns the whole day around.

Delightful books - my 2 year old toddler loves balloons and a fab book he can relate to. 4 year old daughter loves all the PIP and Posey books too

Sorry, I do feel that some authors make easy money.That's mean of me I know and I read it as though it is very exciting and enjoyable.Anyway, my grand-daughter likes it at present and we do go over the alliteration of "ps" and whatever else.Perhaps she should review it when she learns to read and write.
