We have 8 backyard chickens, and we love this feeder. It's big enough for all of them to get their heads in and eat at the same time. It also stays full for about half a week before we have to fill it, depending on how much they're eating that week. It also makes a nice sound when you shake it with food in it, that our chickens will always come running to. Also, since ours just sits on the floor, some of our girls like to just stick their heads right in the top of it and eat of of that, those cheeky girls! Overall this feeder has been working out great for our flock, and has lasted us almost a whole year now with basically no problems at all.Pros:- All 8 of our chickens can eat from it at the same time- You can hang it up- Very simple to fill- Easy to clean, just unscrew.- Plastic Feels sturdy- Plastic is translucent enough to see how full it isCons:- Made of plastic, and does not say BPA free- Can come bust open upon picking up if now screwed on right- No lid- I'd say no more than 6-8 chickens could eat from it at once, tops

I went back and forth for about a week trying to decide between this feeder or a galvanized feeder. I was getting mixed reviews and pros and cons on both. I finally decided to go with this feeder because I like the size (7 lb) for my small back yard flock of six girls and did not want to take up a lot of the room in their modest size coop. I fill it up twice a week with crumble feed, and there is no waste. I have used it for about 4 weeks now and it has given me no problems at all. Its a very sturdy feeder and I'm happy with my purchase..PS.. I't doesn't bother me that it doesn't have a lid because its hanging inside the coop completely out of the rain, and my chickens don't try to perch on it, so it stays clean. (They have a good amount of different level perches in their coop.)I would recommend cutting slits of a plastic coffee can or ice cream lid if you need to.

Good quality. Keeps 3 hens fed for 3 days.

We use this for some of our chickens and it is very durable but hard to get clean.

Works well. Easy to fill, easy to clean. I hang mine via a chain from the roof of coop so it hangs a few inches from the floor. It reduces waste and the chicks don't have to bend so much to eat. Good, durable thick plastic. Would recommend this product

This feeder has ended up being one of my favorites and I have a lot I have tried over the years. I’ve been using this one for 3 years and it still works fine. It can be hung or sat on the ground.

We returned this feeder. Its was much bigger than it seemed to be in the photos. We only have 4 chickens, and this one seems big enough for at least 8 or 10 chickens. Otherwise it was ok, but I didn't find myself wishing it came in a smaller size. We opted for a different design.

Sturdy plastic feeder for the price and lighter then my metal feeder . I needed one for my Pullets because I have to keep them separate from the full grown hens . Their on the Start and Grow Feed and won't be able to start eating the egg crumble until they start laying . This is a more budget friendly feeder that will last and will only be used 5 months at a time . It is sturdy enough to use full time if you need it for that . I highly recommend this feeder if you need to save money .

Product is great except the top is open. I just covered with a plastic plate with a hole sliced down the centre so the birds couldn't get into it or poop inside. The biggest problem I have is that they scatter the seed out too quickly. Product is fine...it's the birds that are the problem...Still great if you need to go away for a few days. Loved the security that gave me in knowing even if they DID spread it around they were going to have enough seed to last them until we got home!
