Does the main compartment split in 2 for the dry/wet in addition to the outside small zippered pocket? Pictures are not clear

NO - the other answer to this completely mislead me!! It is just one big compartment, half of which is mesh, and half of which is solid - but there is no divider. You also get a small plastic pocket that would hold your phone and wallet, and there's the outside mesh pocket that is shown holding goggles.

Is any of the bottom of this bag mesh? My swim shoes soak my current bag bottom before I make it from the pool to the car.

No the bottom of the bag is solid.

Will the large carry 2 sets of flippers and masks?s/

No, it's not large enough for adult fins. I bought this bag for my scuba gear based on the earlier answer to this question. But that answer is incorrect. You can not fit full size fins, mask, boots, etc in this bag and still close it. It needs to be at least 4" or 5" deeper.
