Kids loved them!

These are loud, but not so loud they are annoying. The kids loved them. They With stood the boys at summer camp. If the boys didn’t lose it, they were still working when they arrived home.

Like other reviewers, of the 12 whistles it turned out that two didn't work at all. But getting 10 of these at the current price is still a pretty good deal. Handed them out to folks in my ukulele group to be used as sound effects for a few of our songs.

Siren whistles are very useful to musicians as a special effect. They have a great comical sound which is familiar to most people. This package of 12 is a fantastic buy! Often, you have to pay this price for just one! Every one of these worked, some better than others, but they all worked. The best ones worked absolutely perfectly, with a clear, loud sound with no noise, with the internal spinner spinning very freely(ideally, the spinner should spin well after you stop blowing; by the way, normally, you blow into the small end but it works no matter which end you blow into). The worst one was hissy and the spinner didn't spin too freely. I haven't tried fixing it somehow and I am not sure if it can be improved. But you get plenty of sirens in this assortment that work perfectly so if a few are not great, it is not a big deal.

I remembered these from ice cream trucks in the 80's.Fortunately, one of the 12 was in pieces. One of the twelve revved nicely. Most were wheezy, rattly, or warbly. They are three pieces. The colored housing, a finned/bladed turbine, and a colored thimble or cup like keeper.On some I could improve the sound by pressing the cup in more completely. I broke one trying. I ended up with about half sounding like I expected/hoped. On the bright side, with a pick you can disassemble the loose ones and mix the colors of the inserts.

They're cheap, they've got that going for them. But some of them just don't work. Some work in only one direction. And all of them the sound does not done on like these whistles are supposed to. The sound just pretty much dies when you stop blowing through them. Oh well. At least they sparked up my memories of having good ones when I was a kid

I recently purchased the Toy Siren Whistle set and I must say, I am extremely disappointed with the product. The description promised a unique and delightful sound, but what I got was far from it.Firstly, the quality of these whistles is subpar. Despite the claim of being "designed to last," they feel cheap and flimsy. It's evident that they won't withstand even a moderate amount of playtime. I expected better durability, especially considering the countless hours of play that the product claims to endure. It's a shame to see such poor craftsmanship.Furthermore, the so-called "unique" sound produced by these whistles is nothing short of annoying. Instead of a pleasant siren sound, it's more like an anemic screeching warbling noise that grates on the nerves. It's definitely not a sound that brings joy or sparks smiles as described in the product description. I found it to be quite irritating, which defeats the purpose of having a toy for entertainment.The color assortment is the only redeeming feature of this set. The variety of pink, yellow, green, blue, and orange whistles is visually appealing, but that's about it. The colors cannot make up for the overall disappointment caused by the poor quality and unpleasant sound.Moreover, the claim of being non-toxic and safe is not unique to this product. It is a basic expectation for any toy on the market, so it doesn't deserve special commendation. Safety should be a given, not a selling point.Lastly, the product's description suggests using these whistles as party favors and gifts. I strongly advise against it. Subjecting children and their parents to the obnoxious noise and low-quality experience of these whistles would only lead to disappointment and regret. They are simply not suitable for such occasions.Overall, I cannot recommend the Toy Siren Whistle set. The quality is lacking, the sound is annoying, and the only positive aspect is the color assortment. Save your money and look for better alternatives that actually deliver on their promises.
