This engraver works as advertised. As a beginner in engraving, I find myself diving deep into the art form. It's a really good hobby and a means to additional income. My only downside is the assembly took some work, between youtube and the manual it was assembled in 35 minutes. Apart from that I didn't get the washers andsome screws as per the package it came in. Nevertheless, that was an easy workaround and I'm happy with this purchase.

I came across many interesting videos on YouTube, which sparked my great interest. However, as a beginner, I was only looking for an entry-level and budget-friendly product to give it a try. So, during a deal of the day promotion, I chose this model.Assembling it was quite easy following the instructions, although it did take me approximately 1.5 hours. Operating the machine was also easy. I haven't purchased any professional software yet, so I just used downloaded images for a few try. Honestly, there's a learning curve and an adaptation process involved, especially because the performance varies when carving on different types of wood, even with the same power settings.It's best to do the carving outdoors or in a garage, as it generates smoke. I can't make a direct comparison with similar products as most of them are priced higher, but for its price, it's a great adult toy or hobbyist tool.

The product had great reviews, unfortunately after I bout it used it to do 1 job and it just faded off and stopped etching. Manufacturer won't help and Amazon's customer service is a joke. Now I'm stuck with a 200$ paper weight. Orders waiting on me and I've got to buy another machine. Buy direct for the Manufacturer don't waste time with Amazon.
