We have a dog that likes blankets. She REALLY likes blankets that have a satiny lining. (I don't know why. She didn't tell me why.) She gets cold. She even has her own space heater because she gets cold. But she's a dog. She has fur. She gets hot easily, even when she's cold. I bought this blanket for her and she loves it. She tucks her nose under it when she's really cold. It's heavy enough to keep her warm without getting too warm and she can still breath ok when her nose is buried. I'd imagine it would make a great little blanket for a child, too.
