WELSTIK50mm X 30.2m Black Matt Cloth Gaffer Tape, Non-Reflective, Easy to Rip

I made window covers for my camper on a tight budget and edged them with this tape. Stuck extremely well to silver bubble wrap and is very strong. You will need scissors to cut. Excellent tape with expensive feel.

Great tape! It's has a matt finish so is non-reflective, and tears easily - with the added bonus that it doesn't leave any residue on most surfaces when removed.

Works ok but unsure I can’t cut it nicely - too sticky for scissors to cut it

The only good thing about this is the colour which matches the one in the picture, but I can't give that any stars as that's expected. Everything else is a disappointment.It rips in all sort of directions and curves, never straight, which looks ugly and requires you to use scissors ... which defeat the entire purpose of "rip by hand".It's not actually fully cloth made. When it rips, it reveals white patches because it's actually two layers on top of each other: the top layer appears to be grey paper/plastic (poorly) glued on top of a white bottom layer that is the actual sticky tape. So you end up with grey+white patches strip.It also doesn't really stick. I mean, there is /some/ stickiness, but there might as well be none because in that case you'd know not to waste your time.Quite a feat to mess up a simple sticky tape so badly. Very poor product.

Just not sticky enough. No where near as good as the silver Gaffa tape. it peels off even after cleaning the surfaces. Not much use. It might be ok in a classroom environment.

Very strong and secure tape

I was looking for a matte finish tape for mounting Diamond Paintings in frames.This cloth tape is truly matte so the diamonds really sparkle nicely against it and I am super pleased with how it has worked for my first project.The tape is tightly woven and has a good adhesion. Even better as I needed to get a crips edge against the border of my image it is easy to pull it up and lay it back down when you first apply it. This allowed me to get a fairly professional looking finish.It was easy to trim the overlap off and I didn't need to cut it, it was like cutting a length of paper, get a snip in and the just push your open scissors along it and you get a nice smooth edge.Plenty of tape on the roll and I am going to be able to complete multiple framing projects using this tape.
