I've used an expensive Applied Instruments XR3 satellite finder costing over $1000, but this one does very nicely at a fraction of the cost. And it's much smaller and lighter.

Appears delicate for constant use, but for the average user, very nice. Battery life is many hours and the satellite blind scan is very useful. operates much like a set top version, with special menus with a large signal and quality display.

This was not a direct tv friendly

Terrible meter doesn't work when trying to link it to satellites it's too complicated but their reviews and video made it sound like it was very simple which it is not don't waste your money

Long ago I put up a KU satellite antenna to watch FTA tv. I've recently tried to revive it but was having trouble tuning to the satellite, so I ordered this GTMedia satellite finder. It works as well as a receiver and television, but does not require multiple wires or hauling any heavy items to the satellite antenna. The price is reasonable.

This assumes you know a little about free to air satellite, which I did not at the start. After looking around and getting some ideas on where to point the antenna at lyngsat.com it became apparent there is no open view to a satellite on my patio. The ability to look at the channel near the antenna is perfect. It has alot of the satellites in my area on the menu, and you can just scan without the channels. Probably a good buy if you have extra budget just to have something at the antenna site to see what is going on. Guess its a complicated topic though and its not exactly obvious what to do but it is something you can figure out just playing with it for a while.

Very nice unit, if you need to track satellites in order to bring your TV reception in or any other type of reception from the satellite. It makes a tough job much easier.

Does exactly what it says brilliantly

finder is as described. Manufacturer says this comes with a wall plug in charger and a 12v power point charger as well as a type c cable to connect to your existing charger for phone etc. That is all this one came with. No other charger. Very disappointing for the price.

Was fast shipping nice unit instructions suck havant been able to make it work yet found found some utube videos havant watched them yet
