Yes, you read it right in my humble opinion this has kind of been a life-changing product that we have been using now for almost a year. I didn’t even know these existed and after growing up around a cement patio with a pool I totally get why this works as, the stone soaks up the water and so you don’t have as much bacteria or mold buildup really not because the stone soaking all the water out of the area where is a rug would keep it all there. My favorite part selfishly outside of the health benefit is that your feet almost instantly become dry they kind of suction to the stone as you come out of the shower and once you experience that you’ll never go back to a bathmat I mean never ever. We’ve used this in hot and cold days and it’s just wonderful. It’s also nice that they provide a slip rubber mat that goes between your floor and the stone. It’s very thin but I’m glad they provided it. I am a heavy person and I’ve had no issues with it feeling like it’s going to break when you do clean it with the sandpaper. Make sure you do it outside in an open area. I don’t think it’s something that you need to clean a lot, but it does look a little better after you clean it . I did notice that in the summer when there’s more humidity in the air the suction and ability to dry water is not quite as bone as in the dryer months of the winter so when you first get it, you may notice the sections really strong because it’s very dry and depending on your climate And two point you may see it kind of taper off not anything but like instead of 100% it may work at 80% on your feet. It still dries everything all the way I just think because there’s more moisture in the air the suction that you feel on your feet And drying them isn’t quite as Paul. Like I said, we’re in the winter now and it’s dry and it works like it’s brand new again and we have not cleaned it in a couple months. At the end of the day this is a product that looks very pleasing , if your person that showers every day, it has multiple people using the shower you’ll never ever wanna go back to another product like a microfiber towel, bathmat or any other type of bathmat again, you won’t be disappointed if you buy this product and I would imagine other products that are similar would work, just as well however, I could be wrong. I haven’t tried any others.

Took a minute to get used to not stepping on something soft out of the shower but once you see how fast the water is absorbed and dries it’s amazing! Bought one for each shower. Very clean.

I ordered this after having my bathroom remodeled and I am so glad I did. It dries up after I step on it after taking a shower and it doesn’t get slippery. It hasn’t smelled since I’ve used it either. I definitely recommend ordering for your bathroom.

I bought this bath mat and the dish mat as well. I love them both. They are completely worth it. They are not 100% maintenance free, but they're far better than fabric. It dries incredibly fast and all the bathroom dust and little hairs just wipe right off. It feels so much less gross than a bath mat. I give the bath stone a little scrub with a clean scrub daddy when I clean my bathroom, rinse with hot water and let dry. Every once in a while when it starts to get discolored or stained from all the water, I just sand it with sandpaper. Looks brand new afterwards. We're a one bathroom house so this thing is used a few times a day, and after 2 years, it's in perfect condition. Love it!

Stable, dries quickly. Did not have much of a smell out of the box unlike the other one that I purchased. It comes with a pad for underneath so no issues with slippage or movement. I initially thought I needed the bigger size, but was surprised that the regular/small one is completely adequate. Overall I love that I have something subtle that can blend in with the floor and not have to fight with the towels.

The pad works well and looks good. The lighter options do show dirt quickly, and it’s a non-trivial effort to clean the porous surface.

I read a LOT of reviews before buying this one. I was concerned, with other (less expensive) products, about off-gassing and cracking. I am now so glad I bought this one, which I believe is the original brand for this type of product. It has had zero issues along those lines. I’ve had it almost a year and I love it! It quickly soaks up the water when I exit the shower. I shower after my spouse and within 10-15 minutes after their use it’s completely dry again — no more wet bath mats!! No more picking up a wet bath mat to hang it to dry! No more need to wash the bath mat. I’m also someone who hates having wet feet on the bathroom floor and this mat dries them better than any other mat. I had one gross incident where my puppy pooped on it. I checked the web site about how to clean it — they give instructions but not for this specific case. ChatGPT helped me with a full and materials-safe cleaning and disinfection protocol that went the extra mile just so I would feel it was 100% clean and sanitized. I would suggest being very careful about how you approach such scenarios as it is a kind of material you don’t want to ruin with the wrong cleaning method. We have sanded it lightly once and it buffed right up. One of us is 240 lbs and it holds that weight fine (although we both step carefully onto it, no stomping). I really recommend spending the money for this product, which is the real thing. I think anything that has reports of off-gassing or breakage is not made from the same materials or has additional materials that make it an inferior product. I expect this mat to last me quite a while.

Pricey but super cool how it absorbs water

Nice, easy to clean. Low profile so it is not getting caught under doors. Very absorbent, wicks water away rather quickly. I do wish it was slightly larger in size for the price.

I first bought this stone mat and it worked well. However, it did seem uneven and it would always make a loud noise when I'd step on it after the shower because it was stone slamming against the tile. Still, I bought an additional one to put in front of my sink, and I noticed that my SECOND order came with that non-slip mat that you're supposed to put under it which "evens the mat". My FIRST order didn't come with that, for some reason. Quite disappointed in myself for ordering a second one, but glad I did so I realized the error that happened with the first order. Not including non-slip mats in customer's order seems like such a preventable error that it's shocking that I see people complaining that the stone isn't even. ***It's not that it's uneven, it's that the seller just didn't include a part in your order.*** I made my orders quite a while ago but am now only writing this review hoping something can still be done to rectify the situation. 3 stars because the product itself is great, my mat is rendered troublesome because of negligence in product/quality checking.
