HitLights12V 5A Power Supply Adapter, UL-Listed, 120VAC to 12VDC Transformer, 12 Volt 5 Amp Wall Charger for LED Strip Light and Low Voltage Devices

The OEM power adapter died for my TiVo Roamio TCD846500. From my research I found that the factory adapter is underpowered, especially if you have an upgraded hard drive like I do. It was suggested to upgrade to at least a 3A and 5A would be even better so that's what I did. This unit has worked really well. It's not even breaking a sweat powering my TiVo. The power brick stays room temperature and the power plug fits nice and snug in the back of the TiVo. Highly recommend.

Worked great with RF Controller for COB light strip. It would power the whole 16' strip, but I only used 3' for my use. the plug was compatible with both the HILIGHTS Single color RF Remote (DC 5-24V) and the DTF -LIGHTING 12V FCOB strip light. Would buy again.

I bought this particular power supply as it is recommended for the HitLights LED strip lights that I use. The angle of the wall bud can block the neighboring outlet so I have to say that not the greatest amount of thought was put into that. You can just move it to the lower wall socket or to the very end of the plug strip but for the plug strip application, this means you can only have one of these per plug strip without losing a socket. The power supply is correctly rated for the lighting however and works great. The wiring is robust and the connector fits snug. So all other design criteria are very well met. I will buy more of these as I like the simplicity and I am slowly phasing in LED light strips all over my house.

This power supply interfaces very well with the Hitlights 300 Led lighting strip which I also purchased in the same order. The project that I am working on is still being built (stained glass stands each of which support a glass paperweight which we created and now want to illuminate and display), so i have not installed it in its final configuration. Currently, after cutting, and resoldering the LED strip (transforming them from one long string into a group of 5 x 3 matrices), I use this power supply to test my design and solder joints. Later on - I will use it to power the lights on the display. So far It has been dependable, handling the load well with no flickering. I will get back to you when I have used it for a month or so in its final configuration.

I purchased two (2) 16Ft reels of HitLights LED strip cool lights and transformer and installed under my kitchen cabinets. I was surprised how bright they are and am satisfied. I had a 12 inch section of cabinets that I 'bridged' over the stove by running it over and through my cabinets, and that section 'flickered.' I simply checked out the end where I had spliced the connection (no solder), corrected it, and it has not flickered since. I am more than satisfied. Not only did I get more than adequate lighting, but at a most reasonable price. I could not be more pleased. I will put out another 'review' in six months to a year to report how they are doing.

did not light up lights, not sure what part of the system was defective but in hindsight we received a power supply that the sticker had already been opened. We've used HIT Lights years ago and it seemed to be a pretty easy system, but this time there was too many components to troubleshoot so we returned

Was excited to get this adapter for my Bowflex trainer as some of the reviews said it worked great. Unfortunately, the plug hole isn't big enough to fit and I tried it on my Bowflex Max Total 16 and my Bowflex Velacore 22 bike with no success. I'm sure this adapter would be great if it fit, but had to return it and I'll keep searching.
