Bought it for a specific purpose; to quickly debark yew staves. It worked perfectly. Heavy enough to trim the bark efficiently, but light enough to not be tiring or painful (slightly arthritic). When the time comes, sharpening it may be a challenge due to the curve in the blade, but for now it's impressively honed.

I like the heft of the machete; it's a good weight. The grip is also easy to hold. Both of which helps clear brush easily without you getting tired. The only draw back is that the blade edge is fragile. I hit one hard object and the tip is bent and the blade is chipped. It's OK for now, but I'll look at something a little more stable and solid.

Good product, well balanced, and convenient size and weight. Can be sharpened as knife in the middle and axe at the end. Using it to clear my garden from small bushes.

I can't say much but that it'd great for gardening and tough bamboo great grip and rope to make sure it don't slip for safety

I bought 2 different machete and keeping this one as a backup. I have used it few times and like the balance and how easy on the arm and shoulder to cut small trees and bushes. The shape of the handle is great for the hand but its hard plastic so sweat makes it slippery.

You will be happy with it as a multi purpose chopping and cutting tool. Well built and crafted.

I’m changing my review because after a month and a half from the purchase date and maybe 10 times of use by my husband who is experienced with machetes as he grew up on a ranch in Cuba using one almost daily however this one BROKE completely in half while he was using it to trim limbs and minor brush along a fence line! I would NOT recommend if you plan to put this balde to use or to work at all. 😔I will say…. My husband initially was really excited about the machete and liked it a lot! He complimented on the weight of it, the nice solid grip, how durable it feels and looks, how sharp the blade was, in fact he shaved his arm hairs with it the night we got it! He and I had high hopes for this blade especially since it’s stamped with CAT we really thought this blade was going to be tough and thought we would have this blade for years to come.Very disappointed.
