NUTS U.S. - Dried Crystallized Ginger Slices in Resealable Bag (3 LB)

I was surprised to see this delivered in such a nice bag and not just in a bulk package. Opening it, you could just smell the spice of the ginger! It was so fresh and tasty with quite a bite. IWas not hard at all, was nice and chewy . It is superior to any.other crystallized ginger i have ever had. This purchase was so worth it and will definitely be buying this again!

The price is great, so gave it a try. Strong and pleasant flavor, very soft dried 'fruit' texture. Wide variety of piece sizes-- from a bit bigger than a thumbnail to about three square inches!-- which is perfect for snacking, but would annoy someone using it for baking. Coating-sugar is fairly large crystals, the pickier of my kids brush it off, good use of that extra preservation power. Bag has been sitting open on my desk for over a week and there's zero preservation issues. Nice uniform color.

So excited. The bag is generous and huge. The crystalized ginger strips are top quality. Perfect consistency and flavor with a zing. Not too strong. The sugar on it is fine. I'm enjoying them. Eating ginger is good for you. A must buy if you like ginger

I first purchased "NUTS U.S. - Dried Crystallized Ginger Slices in Resealable Bag (3 LB)". I gave this 2 stars because it wasn't really ginger. There was very little heat, it was primarly candy w/little in the way of ginger flavor. I recently purhcased "NUTS U.S. - Dried Crystallized Ginger Slices | All Natural and Non GMO | No Artificial Colors or Ingredients | Sugar Coated Chewy Flavor | Packed in Resealable Bag!!! (Unsulfured 3 LBS)". THIS is real ginger and has the spice to prove it. Rating averaged to 4 between both products.

These ginger slices are amazing!!!!!!!! I have tried different brands. This is my favorite crystallized ginger!!! I always get a 2 lb. unsulphured bag. These slices are great for nausea. The ginger bite is so flavorful. If you are not used to real ginger kick, get ready to tear up and clear your sinuses. You will not be disappointed.

If you want a more intense, peppery ginger flavour these are the ones! Not as aesthetically pleasing as the ones (more brownish in colour) with sulfur but WAY tastier. They seemed to have less granulated sugar and a different mouth feel. They are a bit chewier. I love these slices and will not go back to the bright yellow ones.

Be careful! Something is wrong with this ginger!!!!! NOT SAFE TO EAT! Purchased this in the past, despite seeing some negative reviews and I Had no issues. Recommended to friends- who got theirs and said it was horrible and I couldn’t understand why… Got my next bag July 2025- and wow- IT SMELLED LIKE CHEMICAL CLEANING FLUIDS. I thought it might’ve just been the bag, so took a bite and IT TASTES JUST LIKE IT SMELLED AND LITERALLY BURNED MY MOUTH. Chemical burns, not heat from ginger. This is not manufactured in the US but in THAILAND where regulations for food quality aren’t like in the US. This would’ve never passed US inspection. Please choose wisely if you buy yours- I believe this could/would make a person ingesting it extremely ill. This is not just ginger, sulphur and sugar. It’s too expensive to take the risk on whether or not you’ll get an ok bag…. And definitely not worth risking your health to eat it. I’m extremely disappointed- but lesson learned. I will never, ever buy this again in this brand- nor will I try anything else they manufacture. Something is very wrong with this ginger and people are going to get sick from this. I notified Amazon about the chemical burns and health concerns. If anyone else has this issue, please do the same!
