The best Yin Yoga book
This is by far the best book about Yin Yoga that I have read. Sagel writes in a way that is clear and easy to understand, yet also invites introspection and encourages new ways to approach the practice. The format is excellent and I appreciate the breakdown of each pose, along with alternative ways to approach a posture. If you only purchase one Yin Yoga book, this is the one I would wholeheartedly recommend!

Amazing Must Have Resource..... for life!
I purchased the book in preparation for the on line Yin Training course with Sagel. OMG she is amazing. You are lucky if you get to experience a Yoga Teacher with this level of depth. She is at the top of the tier for Yoga Teachers. She is so full of knowledge and her enthusiasm for you, your practice and your teaching is conveyed 100 times over. When using the book for the class I was amazed at this resource. This in so jam packed with useful information. The detail provided is fantastic. Your students will benefit the most! Whether you teach Yin or note, the offerings in this book willpervade your practice and yogic life, This is one of those rare resources that will truly serve you for years ! Thank you for this most amazing work!

A beautiful exploration into the depths of yin and meditation
This wonderful book delves deep into the realms of yin yoga and meditation, offering a comprehensive guide that is both insightful and thoughtfully put together. The author's expertise shines through every page, making it easy to navigate and a joy to explore.One of the standout features of this book is the mandala map, which, when combined with the resources provided, opens up a world of possibilities for creating unique and enriching yoga classes. The author, Sagel, is undoubtedly a master in her field, and her wisdom and guidance are truly inspiring.I was fortunate enough to not only discover this book but also attend an online Yin Yoga and Meditation training offered by Sagel. The experience was nothing short of transformative, and I highly recommend both the book and her course to anyone looking to deepen their practice. I am grateful to have found this book and to have had the opportunity to learn from such a gifted teacher.

An incredible journey with a friend...
I purchased this book knowing full well what I was getting since I had previously had the opportunity, until she MOVED AWAY, to take yoga from Sagel in person. She is actually who originally brought me to the mat when she came and taught at my work and then gave me the courage to go to a class. It was a hot yoga class for 90 minutes and I may have sweat off every calorie I ever ate but I WENT TO A CLASS.I preferred having Sagel as a teacher since I loved her way of teaching, explaining and her soothing voice. She has no judgement, only acceptance and makes you feel completely comfortable. To say I was upset when she moved is a bit of an understatement.However, I have her back in this book. Reading it, I can hear her voice again. She explains things in a way that this (still) beginner completely and easily understands and can use over and over again. She's always made sure that others are taking the time to care for themselves and that sense of purpose radiates throughout the book.As someone who does not consider themselves a yogi, and a bit of an outsider to any yoga even though I've tried for years, Sagel has always made me feel welcome and wanted on the mat. And having a piece of her with this book has helped me get back on the mat again to take care of myself. It's as if she can see through the baloney and get right to the crux of your heart issues to help you heal. She's a gift as is this book that I will always treasure.

This is my Yin Yoga Bible - Highly Recommend!!
The media could not be loaded. Love love this book! It is so full of inspiration and heart, like talking with a good friend and having a personal teacher all at the same time. It's so digestible and easy to read and use! There are beautiful stories, science stuff about how yin yoga helps our body and also lots about how we can help our heart and mind. And it’s full of beautiful meditations all through it! Every time I pick it up I just feel happy, and hopeful! It’s been such a hard last few years, I thought recommitting to my yoga practice would be good. So I bought this book to learn more about yin yoga and how to grow my practice. It gives me that. There’s a ton of really helpful information about the poses and how you can learn to use them to help your specific body. But there’s so much more than that. I guess it’s just really brought me back to my heart, and helped me remember that who I am is worth taking care of. And I’m so grateful for that. I keep coming back and back to it. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to learn more about yin yoga! It is a gift to the soul.

Fantastic resouce
I’ve been a teacher for nearly two decades, and this is one of the best books I’ve read. It's an incredible resource for Yin Yoga teaching, filled with so many helpful tools. You can truly tell that the author poured her heart into this book, providing us with an abundance of valuable insights to work with. Highly recommend!
