Perfect Size and Excellent Quality!
This is my absolute favorite pipe in my collection! The main reason is because of the bowl size. It's a small bowl. I can smoke a whole bowl in less than 30 minutes. There are times I like a short smoke. It's also easier to manage the tobacco in this pipe than in my larger bowled pipes. The quality is amazing and the wood is gorgeous. I will definitely be buying more of these for all of my tobacco flavors.

Good no nonsense pipe 👍
I didn’t realize you were supposed to sand out the lacquer on the inside of the bowl until I had already coated the inside with honey and let rest a few days. The honey helped create a carbon buildup inside the bowl which will help prevent the cherry wood from burning. I tasted the lacquer when the bowl burned at the top for about four or five bowls until the taste went away. And I tasted the lacquer burning at the bottom of the bowl for an additional maybe 10-15 bowls before the taste went away. That’s the only reason I took away a star. It would be nice if they sold the pipe already sanded out. Other than that, it’s been a great first pipe for me. It’s harder to keep the bowl lit with the filter inside of it, but it doesn’t burn as hot so there’s a trade-off. I can’t figure out whether I like the filter in or out yet.

Great pipes!
These cob pipes are nice looking and smoke Great! I have some expensive pipes that don't smoke as well as these. Great brand, they last forever and are very reasonably priced without having to risk the how the Chinese pipes's usev of qestionable chemicals.

Nice smoke break pipe
Nice little pipe for a smoke break. A full bowl can go 25 - 30 minutes. I've been using the included filter, does not affect the draw and prevents ash or coal from being sucked up. CON The shank and the bowl are two separate pieces. I've found that they can get a little loose and even come apart when the pipe is hot. I haven't noticed any leakage when they are loose, just a little wiggle. I just try to be gentle with the pipe and snug the shank back into the bowl when I finish a bowl. For the price, overall it is a nice little pipe. I will probably order another to use and leave at work.

The shank is too big in diameter it will burn a hole with time (30 days if you smoke a lot)
Don't buy this product, it is poorly made and expensive for its quality. The shank doesn't fit in the bowel, it gets loose with time since it needs to be glued, also the bottom is poorly made you will never be able to smoke all the tobacco, even by fixing it using pipe mud it wont work, since the shank inside diameter is too big. Another point is, the wood is of low quality, a crack appeared in the bowel with only 30 days of use. The next point, since the shank inside diameter is absurdly big, something like 10mm, tobacco will get inside of it with time and burns inside of it, also burning the shank. You can see in the picture the kind of damage that is caused due this defect over time. I tried to get a refund or a replacement, with the manufacturer. Which said "It looks like the pipe may have gotten set down on something like a cigarette or other burning object. That’s really the only way to get a burn mark like that on the shank. Since the damage was not due to a defect in the pipe itself, I’m sorry but we won’t be able to replace it for you." In resume, this was the most expensive pipe I have ever bought and the worst one, I bought all my pipes in Brazil.

Well, blow me down.
I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews on here. But being an experienced pipe smoker I thought I'd give it a shot. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it looks sort of cheap. And yes there's an extension inside the barrel/bowl. However, this being a handmade pipe, that makes sense. Come-on it's an 1869 Country style pipe. What did you expect? I soon discovered it smokes really well and smooth. Rob Roy doesn't get hot, holds an ember and as more sturdy than it appears. Better than some of the $25 or more pipes I own. Right out of the Box. If you worried about the extension and the bottom of the barrel it's there for a reason. If you're worried put a small smoking screen in it. Which is what I did, and it works fine. I tell everyone is 'Popeye's' pipe. I would buy again. Good price for a great everyday pipe.👍

Great budget pipe
As far as budget pipes. This brand is my favorite. I have a $40 pipe that isn't near as good as this brand. Works great. Bowl doesn't get super hot while smoking.
