This is really handy if you use a screen with photographic gear, that doesn't already have a tripod screw (3/8 - 20). This not only adds this, but offers two mounting options. Well three actually as there's nothing stopping you mounting it upside down and suspending the clamp from above.My concern before receiving was this wouldn't fit, or that it would be flimsy. At first I thought it was nowhere near big enough. And this is because only one side of the clamp is spring loaded. The other is on a screw mount which has to be undone. This does make it a little time consuming. But it significantly extends the capacity of this and it's still really sturdy.Because it has the standard tripod thread, this will fit anything with that thread. So any tripod for example. Being able to mount from back or below (or above) is versatile.Not sure how this will stand up to being detached and re-attached constantly . That's not my plan. It IS plastic (obviously at this price). But nice and sturdy without any concerning flex.I may have another at this price as it includes a ball mount which was a nice bonus if you mount to something like a lighting stand instead of a tripod with a flexible head.

This is a very well built and sturdy mount. I used it with the iPad Air and it worked well with my tripod stand. There good movement especially with the attachment they give you. So, I was happy it worked so well.The one problem I noticed has to do with how tight the grip is if you use the larger iPad Pro 12.9 inch. It barley fits even when the mount is extended to maximum. It was so tight I stopped using it because I was worried I was damaging the iPad. I wish we had just a couple of centimetres to have some breathing space then it would have been ok.I would recommend this mount for all iPads, apart from the 12.9 inch.

I us a portable audio recorder when I am on location shoots (I am a freelance videographer). The device I use, a Zoom H6, has a tripod connector on the bottom, but it is very flimsy and the slightest overtightening will crack it - as happened to me. I had already bought a protective padded jacket for the recorder and this gave me a few options for jury-rigging a way of attaching it to tripods, light stands, mic stands etc when filming, but it never actually felt secure.I tried a couple of tablet holders I already owned, but none worked particularly well, and needed additional adapter to fit onto a stand or tripod. I then did some research and found this item. I confess I was sceptical but it actually fitted perfectly, and tightly, onto the padded hand grip of the H6 case. The fact that you can 'lock in' the width of the jaws, plus the addition of a zip tie, leave me 100% confident that this won't fall off in the middle of a shoot. I can attach it with or without the supplied ball head, but I prefer without, as the ball head isn't great.Build quality is decent at this price and to be honest, even if I had to replace it every couple of years, I wouldn't be unduly upset.For my requirements this is nigh on perfect. As for how it works with a phone or tablet - sorry, I have no idea :-)

Instructions extremely clear & easy to follow. Before fitting to my tripod I test fitted my Samsung Z-Fold 5, securely held when in the open mode with the locking nut ensuring that my phone was secure.Then tried securing the phone on its normal closed mode. I was worried at first as when closed the phone is rather thick at approx 18mm thickness. The mount isn't quite wide enough but still gripped the phone securely.Only time will tell how robust the mount will be but first impressions are that this appears well made and is not as flimsy as the grip on a selfie stick and so represents good value for those who already have a suitable tripod. If not then they are also easily available as I purchased mine from Amazon about a year ago.

Very good ipad mount. It could be easier to tighten into place and to get the ipad in and out - but still happy with it overall.

I bought this tablet mount because I thought is would make a more secure mount for my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G than a smaller mount designed for phones. It is adjustable via the screw on one end to accommodate larger phones and tablets, and has a spring-loaded retractable clamp on the other end to give your device a snug, but not too snug, fit. I like to use a top-and-bottom holder for my phone because it doesn't interfere with the buttons on the side. This tablet mount does the job. It feels sturdy, so I don't worry about the risk of my phone coming unsecured. It also has a tripod mount on the center of the back and another on the end so you can orient your device in either of two ways on your tripod, vertical or horizontal. The mount comes pre-assembled, with the only requirement being to choose whether to install the optional ball-and-socket adjustable mount before screwing it onto your tripod, or just using it as-is. It works just fine for my needs.

I have a Samsung TAB 10 ultra tablet which in 2026 is the largest tablet out there. This was designed for it in landscape size. The s-pen holder is safe because it holds the tablet out from the backside. I put the unit on a wide 2 inch tall camera tripod holder that has 5 inch long supports. It now sits on my desk with a wireless keyboard and mouse, running in 'windows' mode (hard to set up but once known, superb). It is really stable for my finger games etc. I might even trust this on an airplane, since when folded up it is nicely compact. It looks like a windows laptop, but isn't (obviously), so it is impressive for visitors to see. It is a rad black metal machine.
