Does it hold stencils well

Don't wast your money. Go to ( a pound of flesh) APOFTATTOOING.com get a 11x 18 flat skin for $40. Worth the cost. You wont learn on thus stuff. If that's to expecive get Styrofoam sheets from the craft section the ink will wipe off. Good for line practice and cheep. I bought a lot of these from different companies. More of a headache than its worth.

Could this be used to cover up a tattoo?

I don't understand the question. Are you going to draw the tattoo in question and practice covering it up? Well these cheep skins are made to practice straight and steady lines and some shading. If u want a realistic skin that is totally different than the thin skin your using and a major difference u want to use it's called "reel skin" and a "pound of flesh" it's more expensive however it works like the real thing and a lot thicker.

These say they are double sided but they are only thick enough top do one side and each sides have different texture. Did i get mailed the wrong ones?

Kit is garbage.. don't waste ur money. Everything is metric and doesn't work on most American machines..

To think can stencil holds ink stains can't wipe or clean off

Thin n like rubber eraser and can't use Stencils on well or use at normal needle depth n ink smudge can't wipe clean easy.

Not worth buying at all. You work on it, you wipe it and it's vanished.. Ink holding capacity is zero. Don't go for it.
