The BEST SD/Micro SD card reader on the market IMO, and I've tried a bunch...
Worth every penny. Stays super cool because of the aluminum enclosure, has great transfer speeds, and I love that i can use the card slots simultaneously if I want to transfer content from one card to another.Typical SanDisk quality that will last me forever. Or until the onset of UHS-II cards starts being more practical. I also love how this looks just sitting under my All-In-One HP PC. Just a short USB C cable to connect it, so it stays uncongested and looks really neat and OCD.But I bought it for fast transfer speeds and the ability to keep my cards cooler during transfer. I feel like I got my money's worth and couldn't be ANY happier. This should last me for many, many years to come 🤞

Blazing fast...
Usually card readers are like trasnparent devices... we use them b/c we ne need to copy stuff, we drag and drop and just leave them unattended until it finishes copying stuff.... well... that is b/c they are usually DAM* DOG SLOW... so, figured I'd give this Sandisk a shot... and sure enough... its blazing fast... Well.. not at first... So, make sure it is plugged to a true USB 3.0 port, and then check that the cable its also a true USB 3.0 cable, most cheapo A-to-C cables are NOT true 9-pin USB 3.0 cables, so performance will SUCK... as in < 30 MB/s ElSuck which is USB 2.0 trashland...Once you sort that, this thing will peg the USB 3.0 port to 500 MB/s burst on my NAS (an older Broadwell E5 Xeon with a C612 mobo...) but then it will quickly fall down to whatever the SD card can read... some cards will reach well over 200 mb/s sustained, others much less.. anyhow, so unless you have a very old card this thing will deliver.Again, MAKE SURE your cable is a TRUE USB-3.0 cable... especially when using A-C adapters or using cables that are A-to-C just make sure the device is operating at USB-3.0 speeds. This Sandisk also works on an older computer with Windows 7, not that many people care these days... but figured I'd share.

Good, well-built reader that delivers solid performance.
This is a compact, well-built card reader that feels solid and durable. There are no cheap, flimsy plastics. The squared-off profile makes it easy to fit the reader in a camera bag and take it with you for downloading footage on the go.Performance is solid. I measured it a consistent 860+Mbps write and 870+Mbps read when used with a SandDisk Extreme Extreme Pro 512 GB CF Express card. All in all it works well for my needs and if I decide to buy other SanDisk Pro readers and their dock I can integrate them into a simple, elegant solution on my desk.

Awesome SD card reader
I bought this SD card reader to read camera image files from my camera's SD card. I typically shoot in both RAW and JPG, so I end up with some large files (the RAW are about 28 MB). The reader is faster than any other SD card reader I've used. I get fast enough speeds when I am reading the files off (not posting numbers since they are highly system dependent); however, I can read off 100s of files and the reader maintains the same speed for all of them. I can also browse the JPGs on the SD card quickly - the files come up immediately like the are on a local disk. This SD card reader is designed to stay plugged into the USB-C port. When you eject the SD card you do NOT have to disconnect the drive from the USB port. This is what I needed (there are others out there that do require the reader to be disconnected)I like that the case is solid aluminum. I don't know if it has an impact on the performance, but it looks and feels quality. So it may be more expensive compared to other readers, but so far it has been totally worth it to me.

Super fast compared to stock laptop card reader
I like to screen my GoPro footage from the card before copy it to my laptop to avoid storing useless videos. Playing videos from my laptop card reader was super choppy and slow. Playing the video from this card reader is perfectly smooth and fast. I also did a test copy from my laptop card reader to my hard drive and it took 45 seconds at 27 mbs. This card reader ripped through it in 5 seconds at 145 mbs. Super happy with the performance.
