WoW, Great Camera for the Price!!
I had one Allweviee Solar Security Camera a week and was so impressed, I purchased another one. (To be fair, the second one had a fault in the Wi-Fi connectivity, so I returned it for a replacement. I have never replaced anything before until now! That is how much I am impressed by these cameras.) These cameras have great night vision with the option to have infrared or a spotlight for recordings. I like how I can move the camera to any position in the yard no matter where I am. Unlike Ring and Arlo (I had both and returned), they do not pick up every car passing by if I have it aimed in the correct position. I get about 120⁰ of my yard. I also do not have to climb on a ladder every time I want to change the position. The solar charging capability is awesome. Another awesome reason I do not have to climb on a ladder to charge the battery. **No the camera does not rotate to follow activity. It is just used to find the proper position you want.** Another WOW about Allweviee Solar Security Cameras, the lithium batteries did not freeze up, disabling the cameras when it got well below zero degrees in Montana! I still had operable cameras. (Maybe it is because they are new. I will just have to wait until next year.) I do know that the business across the street has hard-wired cameras, and they do freeze rendering them useless. The cameras have a sleep schedule if I do not want the cameras to record 24/7. Because the cameras are solar charged, I can have them recording all the time without too much worry about the batteries dying. I added micro SD cards to increase storage. I can choose how long I want my recordings or "auto" to continuously record as long as there is motion. After having the Allweviee Solar Security Cameras for over a month, I am happy to say I am quite pleased. The picture, video and sound quality are as good as you are going to get (probably even better) for the price point. Installation was quick and easy. All I needed was a drill with a screwdriver drill bit. I even installed my first camera with it was about five degrees outside! It took me a little longer - about ten to fifteen minutes. There is no 1-800 number to talk to a live person, which I'm not too thrilled about. However you are given an email to contact customer service. They are spot on about getting back to you within 12 hours. No matter, I would rather "speak" to a live person than rather try to explain my questions via email. All in all, Allweviee Solar Security Cameras are definitely FIVE STARS!

LOVE THIS CAMERA!
I would give this camera more stars if I could!! My mother purchased this camera for me because I live by myself and my neighbors were harassing the CRAP out of me! I had it plugged in on my front porch and the neighbors put my landlord up to going up on my porch and taking it, my landlord told me he destroyed it because "he didn't want a security camera on his property". To make a long story short he lied and gave it to my neighbors. These were people at one time I thought were good and fairly intelligent........they soon learned that just because its not plugged in doesnt mean its not working. About 3-4 days after it was taken I got a notification and the camera was showing me live feed of my neighbors with my camera in their garage with their young children bragging about taking my camera, taking pics of my camera, at one point they even said "its even wireless" which should have clued them in that ITS WORKING and if that didn't do it then the little red flashing light should have!. Their home was about 100 yards from my home and the camera was still using my wifi, it still had a almost full battery and had been unplugged for about 4 days. I went to the deputy sheriffs office and the officer asked how I knew they had my camera and I showed him the live feed, he grinned and said "come on WE gotta ride up there" and of course they lied and denied having the camera then the officer dropped the bomb on them and told them "yes you do! It was about 6 minutes ago I watched you and her waving into it, laughing having a good time because you thought you gotta away with something, now this is gonna go only one way either I go get it or you go get it but one way or other that camera is coming out of there right now!" My neighbor went and got it and handed it to the officer. LMAO!! Talk about your hometown dumb crook news!! So anyone can see why I sing this cameras praises!! Great picture, sound is very clear and audible, the motion detection is dead on, the wifi reception picks up from a very long distance, the battery lasts for a very long time without recharging, of course I was not continuously recording just with motion! The price was unbeatable, even though my neighbor said "its one of those high dollar cameras", it was not and an actual expensive camera could not be better than this little camera. My son seen it and he bought one and he loves his too!!

Simple to install, simple to use
I bought this to supplement my 5 MaxiViz cameras that also run on the VicoHome app. I'm pretty sure they're all made in the same factory. I love all of the cameras. They have great picture quality with night vision, and they are so simple to setup, install, and use with the app. The difference between this camera and the 5 other MaxiViz cameras is, of course, the PTZ capabilities. Well, that and the solar panel. You can charge this camera's battery and go without the solar panel. I'm sure you could connect this solar panel to the MaxiViz cameras to keep them charged too, but that takes up more mounting space. The solar panel is more practical for the PTZ camera as I suspect it uses more electricity than the fixed cameras. The PTZ is every bit as easy to take off the brackets as the fixed cameras but it's quite a bit bulkier than the others. This makes coming down the ladder more challenging. I can put the other cameras in the front pocket of my hoodie, but have to use at least one hand to hold this camera. The PTZ controls will show up for the camera in the VicoHome app once connected. It doesn't have auto tracking. But you can preset positions (at least 6, I haven't tried adding more) to quickly move the camera where you want it. It has an alarm and a 2-way talk function, but it's not very loud on the camera's speaker. The resolution is great, as is the night vision. I installed it at dusk last night and played with it in the dark. I charged the battery before installing, but the app shows it is receiving charge from the solar panel as I type this (see attached image). This is a great camera for your home security needs. I recommend it. If there are problems or additional developments/successes, I will update this review. UPDATE 11/27/23: I am pleased withy purchase. But I think anyone reading this review should know that the 2-way talk function is pretty much useless. On full speaker volume, with you yelling into your phone, the person outside will likely only hear you if they are underneath it and actively listening for your voice. Unless I'm missing something, this is not a true PTZ camera but a PT camera. There is no zoom. When you have it in full screen mode on your phone you can increase the size of the area you're looking at by spreading your fingers apart, but there is no increase in resolution. Not a true zoom.

Best PTZ-solar camera I've tested so far. Lots of features. Testing continues.
I bought 3 mounted on my roof's facia 10, 20, and 70 feet from the Arris modem-router inside the house, mounted East, West and South. Generally the solar panel keeps the battery fully charged unless you use the features a lot. I once left the "auto night vision" on overnight which depleted the fully charged battery and had to climb a ladder and manually turn the camera on in the morning. That sucked. The zoom feature is digital, not optical so photos and videos aren't recorded magnified. Cameras can only be connected one at a time. The two closer cameras connect without much delay, but the one at 70' sometimes doesn't, so I ordered two Deco X55 network routers to connect to the Arris, and will later upgrade to a faster Spectrum line to up the entire system. Right now I'm clocking at a miserable 55mbs download and 11mbs upload speeds. These cameras are a quantum leap from my wired legacy Wilife system which I bought around 2009 which I use as backup but is obsolete. I haven't subscribed to their cloud service (yet) but might for one camera. Of the 3-4 similar solar driven cameras I've tested over the years, this is the best and worth the 40 bucks each I paid, not considering the 2 additional network routers ($90) for extended range and efficiency which I'm eager to test. If that works, I may get a 4th camera even farther out. I may add an updated review later. Updated review 1/23/26 I bought a 4th camera. The solar panel on one quit. I hope Allwevie reads this and send me a replacement . The fourth camera's night vision never worked, and i don't know how to fix that. Hoping tech support helps out.

Not as good when there's snow on the ground
***Additional Update*** Like everything else in our world this company is now charging a subscription fee to view any recorded videos. These cameras that I put around my house now want a monthly payment of $4.49 or an annual payment of $47.49 to view 10 second video clips that they occasionally record. They never mentioned anything about a subscription when I bought them, this is just something that they decided to do recently. ***Update*** These cameras suck and are designed to fail after a certain amount of time. That's my conclusion since the 4 we ordered at the same time have all stopped notifying us of anything happening on them. I've randomly gotten on the cameras multiple times throughout the night after hearing noises/ getting a feeling and seen multiple cats/raccoons/opossums/deer hanging out on our porch together but no notifications from the camera that anything is happening outside. But during the day I'll get HUNDREDS of notifications that shadows are being cast on the porch from trees all afternoon. It's so annoying, I hate it. Do not buy this camera, it will stop working properly after a year. ***Original Review*** I bought 5 of these when they were on sale to put around my house. They're pretty good, but you can only view them through your phone. There's no website/desktop app for you to look at them on your computer. I went to their website and saw someone asked if they were going to make it possible to view them on a computer a few years ago and they said they weren't at the time, so I emailed them and asked them if they had changed their mind and they said no and that they didn't have any plans to do so. Recently they haven't been activating and recording at night. We've got snow on the ground and I can see cat tracks through the snow but I haven't gotten any recordings to show me the cat(s) that are hanging around my house at night. So that's a little disappointing, but my wife thinks it could be because the cat is white and blends in with the snow. I have no idea though, I just know there's tracks right in front of the camera in the morning and we have no recordings.

Great Cameras for a Great Price!!
We purchased these cameras a couple months ago and I wanted to use them and see how they worked before writing a review. Well, these cameras are amazing! I didn't want to get my hopes up because they were so affordable but they have been stellar and just what we needed. They were easy to set up and install, and viewing them on our phones has been great. It would even be simple to add more cameras to our collection and that is very reassuring. We have 2 now but have already considered getting more. The color and picture are great and incredibly clear. I didn't expect the night vision to be as clear and precise as it is. We tested the sound talking through the speaker and it is very clear as well. The spot light is bright and they stay charged for a long time. We really enjoy all the settings that are available on the app as far as notifications, too (you can be notified for different things coming up on the motion detector like person, package, pet or vehicle). We do pay a little extra a month for the subscription to have extra storage and extra features but in my opinion, it's worth every penny!! I am very very impressed with this purchase and grateful for the security these cameras have given us. Thank you so much!!

Great Security Camera with Battery and Solar Charging
I’ve been using this solar-powered security camera for a while now, and it’s been a fantastic purchase. Here’s what I like: Power & Coverage The solar panel keeps the camera running nonstop, so there’s no need to take it down for charging, which is a huge plus. The app lets me control the 355° horizontal and 90° vertical rotation, making it easy to monitor every corner of my property without any blind spots. Picture Quality & Night Vision The 2K 3MP resolution is super clear, even at night. I’m impressed with the ColorNight Vision—it captures sharp, colorful footage in the dark up to 10 meters away. It’s reassuring to see everything so clearly, no matter the time of day. Durability & Connectivity This camera is built to last. It’s weatherproof (IP65 rated), so it handles rain, heat, and cold without any issues. The WiFi connection is stable thanks to the upgraded antenna, which works well even through walls. Smart Features The motion detection is very accurate and can tell the difference between people, cars, and pets. I also like the customizable monitoring zones—it makes notifications much more relevant. The two-way talk feature is handy for quick chats or scaring off any uninvited guests. Privacy & Sharing Sharing access with family is simple, and the built-in privacy encryption ensures that all footage is secure. The free 3-day cloud storage trial is a nice bonus, though I plan to use an SD card for long-term storage. Final Thoughts This camera is easy to set up, works reliably, and delivers excellent image quality and coverage. If you’re looking for a security camera that’s low-maintenance and packed with useful features, this one’s a solid choice.
