Fixed AC on my 2004 MK4 TDI Jetta
I knew the original AC Clutch Coil was bad because there was infinite resistance measured across the two leads in the power plug (there should be about 4 ohms). Also knew that I was getting power to the coil, but it wasn't working.Bought this product. Upon arrival, I tested the Wisepick AC Compressor Clutch and it registered 3.9 ohms. Replaced without removing the hoses to the compressor (search for video "MK4 TDI AC compressor Clutch replacement"). Total time about 2.5 hrs. AC now works again. When it's more than 80 degrees outside, any fix to an AC unit is a pleasure, but it's even more pleasurable when the fix costs less than $30.

Fit like the original
Bought this for a MKIV Jetta (02). It fit perfect. You might want to check your car's AC clutch pressure plate before ordering this. Once I removed the AC clutch plate I noticed the friction material had rusted apart, and the entire plate was badly rusted and pitted. So I needed to buy a new clutch assembly which includes another new coil. I should have checked it ahead of time. You should be able to remove the clutch pressure plate on a Jetta from underneath w/o removing the drive belt ..to inspect if you need a whole clutch assembly (comes with a coil)...or can reuse what you have and just replace the coil. Please note you'll need a compressor hold-down tool to keep the compressor from spinning, to get the nut off. You can easily make one by inserting 3 cut metal dowel pins (I think 1/4" is ok). Insert them into the clutch dowel holes, apply a daub of paint and touch the 1.5" wide bar to them...to mark their location. Drill holes for the dowel pins or weld the pins at the paint marks. Then drill a hole your socket will fit through. Or, of course, a guy can buy a removal tool when you go to install the coil.Cheers!!

Fixed my AC for cheap
If I had taken this to the dealer I probably would’ve paid 500+ dollars to fix the air conditioner, this way I did it for less than 30.

Working AC again!
Installed this in my 2003 vw jetta tdi. The old clutch coil showed open circuit when I tested it so luckily there was no issue with my compressor or cooling lines. Removed compressor from its mount (kept all lines attached), then removed the old clutch from the compressor, swapped this in. Amazingly cold air coming from my vents now. I have never had a car with working and very cold air conditioning. This is fantastic!
