Q: What happens if I put these in the dryer?

At first, I washed them in warm only and hung them to dry. However, I always prefer to wash my underwear in hot water. So, I switched to hot water on the gentle cycle and drip-dried them. Life got busy, and these ended up in the dryer on medium with other clothing of mine. After a couple of years, they (black) are slightly faded but still fit the same and are intact. While I'm sure they will last longer if washed only in warm and not put in the dryer, they are sturdy enough for me to feel comfortable washing them with other knits on hot and drying in the dryer at medium heat. I sometimes pull them out and let them air-dry to promote longevity, as they are my favorites, but they find me in a medium dryer. I don't think high heat is good for anything with elastic.

Q: Are these true to the sizing chart provided? Or should I order a size up?

For me, these ran VERY small. I'm slim and the chart measurements show Medium should be my size. But I ordered Large because in the cart it showed Large is size 7. Since when is size 7 Large? Well, the Large (size 7) was tight and I don't like my underwear tight. So I ordered X-Large (size 8). A little better but still uncomfortably form fitting. I've always loved 100% cotton undies because they are so comfortable - you don't even feel you have them on.. But I wonder if this brand has more than the 5% spandex. I might order the XX-Large to try, but based on my size, that seems ridiculous. So I don't understand all the reviews stating true to size.
