SweetGourmet Baker's Wheat Bran | Natural Foods | 2 Pounds

Recently, store sources for good quality bran have dwindled. Good quality 100% wheat bran is not easy to find on a shelf, or even here. I too make the bran muffins -- bran, fresh blueberries, coconut oil, pecans, shredded coconut, fennel, vanilla, spiced rum, cinnamon and some nutmeg, xylitol, (can use allulose but have to bake longer and at a lower temperature) plus a little baking powder. The most recent store purchases of bran (before they stopped selling) were often at least a bit rancid. This bran was absolutely fresh. This bran works perfectly in my recipe, and it has the same good taste as bran found in health food stores before 2020 or so. Many other brans have odd taste, or lack texture. Some other brans affect hydration (too much). Who knows what those products really are. I'm reluctant to give a 5 star. I'm not sensitive to gluten - so I bake bread regularly. This bran was A+ added to some Bob's Artisan flour along with a some honey and avocado oil - great chew, crumb and texture -- plus fiber! Now I can continue making the muffins that stave off hunger for hours. On road trips, I pack frozen muffins in the cooler, and then warm them in the hotel microwave - they are like fresh-baked. Oh... packaging was really good for protecting the product. I feel bad for the environment because I doubt it will truly degrade or get reused :( but the product is first-rate as a result. I hope that the maker can keep up the good quality, and stay in business as my source of a good ingredient!

SweetGourmet Baker's Wheat Bran has been a wonderful addition to my kitchen. The bran is fresh, high-quality, and versatile—perfect for adding wholesome nutrition to my baking and cooking. The bran is 100% bran, which is what I like. I don’t like to use bran products that are not 100%. I use SweetGourmet Baker's Wheat Bran to make hearty homemade bread and bran muffins, and a one-pound bag will not last long for me. So, this 2-pound package is my preference. I also appreciate its value, as the quantity lasts through numerous creative meals. The wheat bran blends beautifully into recipes. It boosts fiber and adds a rich, nutty flavor to many foods. I like this bran and have been using it for years.

Excellent quality, price, and value! Have ordered multiple times, but most recent order was shipped in plastic bag and usps CRAMMEDit in the mailbox. Bran packaging was damaged causing small tears and very crinkled bag. Had to transfer to different container unfortunately. Would have returned but needed it for recipe bran muffins. Great bran but needs to be shipped in cardboard box.

The store I used to purchase from for a dollar a pound started carrying only the fine grain wheat bran, so I started looking and came across this product. Bigger flakes better for superworms and I don’t have to buy a humongous amount as I only have one beardie. I do still bake it (in batches as needed but not sure I need to). Like the resealable bag also. I’ve purchased a few bags so far and will purchase again.

This bran is the highest quality and excellent taste. The scratch bran muffins I made were devine. I shared them with my neighbors and received compliments.
