Is the small size large enough for 250g of coffee beans, the push down lid and to still have the top lid sit flush?

hi there. no you would need the medium size can for 250g of beans. im pretty sure they wouldnt fit in the small size. i bought the medium specifically for the 250g packets (lavazza rosa)

The medium will hold 500 - 600g, so ideal for 500g of coffee.

It doesn’t remove CO2 from beans? Light destroys beans - what about the lid?

There is a plunger, for want of a better description, in the middle, which has a one way valve to push all the air. This is black. No light gets in. The transparent lid at the top, arguably makes it more air tight. But it is irrelevant as far as light is concerned.

Is this good for already powered coffee? Some rewiews sad it makes mess?

This product is suitable for food in general, coffee beans or ground coffee as well. The vacuum is made of stainless steel, easy to wash (preferably by hand)
