Igloo's typical good quality but sides seem less sturdy and too big for typical school locker
Let me first start off by explaining why I chose this product: I bought this lunch bag to replace one that we've had since 2011 that finally got torn up due to constant daily wear and tear by my kiddo. It was mine but then she wanted to start using it for school in 4th grade. So, I've had it more than 10 years. Finally in middle school, the outer fabric started to rip - looks like the corner caught on something, and it was getting a little too grubby., and I couldn't get it to look good again. The one we had could hold 6, cans of soda in the bottom with a standard cold pack - 8oz, probably 12 oz depending on what you put i the top section.Despite what the image shows, this one is huge - could easily fit a 12 pack of 12oz sodas in the bottom, It's more for toting two people's typical lunches - sandwich, chips, fruit, soda, a couple of snacks, or small thermoses...and I cannot see how it'll fit into the typical school locker.What makes it great, like my old one:The solid plasticky/rubbery handle holds up better than fabric alone, good strap for slinging across body to free up hands, and easy to clean - waterproofy. Good value/option if you need to pack two meals and a decent size bottle of water or or a meal and lots of snacks and maybe a small thermos, and want to also have space for cold packs. The flip top with the section on the top gives more options for oganizing meals, snacks, drinks, etc - Got a long day with a later afternoon/evening sports practice? Want to take a simple picnic for two, or you work more than am 8-hour shift for your job and want to bring sufficinet provisions? Then this bag may be just what you need.
