39g Oasis Floral Adhesive Tube

I discovered this glue when working in a flower shop doing corsage work. This glue is indeed a florist's best kept secret. I can't believe this glue is commonly sold in regular craft stores. It would be impossible for me to list everything I've ever used this glue for and everything it can do, so I'll list a few things just to give you an idea: bonds fresh cut flowers to other flower or to other objects use in outdoor floral arrangements such as for a memorial, for both fresh or silk (fake) flowers/greenery bonds quickly, within 10 seconds to a couple minutes, variant on what types of materials you are bonding and how much glue you're using it does stink a bit but it's not the stinkiest ever - it's a mid-range odor and should be used in adequate ventilation just like other glues like rubber cement or E6000 good for using for setting up outdoor camo or theater sets, when incorporating flowers, moss, greenery, bows, etc, either fresh or fake. I believe the original purpose for this glue was to provide an alternative to wiring each component of a corsage or boutonniere. It saved a lot of time and product, and it is very durable for use in floral bodywear and does well in a cooler. The cured glue will not cure to a brittle consistency. It will be slightly pliable and tacky, but not sticky or loose. This "give" is an advantage when working with live floral product, and when the final arrangement will be in a moving environment or experience movement around it (like waving around on the arm of a dancer or getting blown in the wind or rained on). Honestly, don't stigmatize this glue as only for florists. If you are outdoorsy, and engineer or creative-type, or frequently asked by other people to fix things or decorate, you need this glue. If you lose the cap, it's fine. The glue can create it's own seal over the tip, and you just pull off the dried glue next time you go to use it. A little goes a long way.

My daughter's wedding was Saturday evening, and we made the bouquets and memory table floral-ringed lantern that morning. The flowers and greenery were bulk floral purchases from membership big-box stores, and they arrived Tuesday and Wednesday before the wedding. As they arrived, we trimmed the stems and placed them in buckets with water + FloraLife Flower Food Powder according to the directions on the jar. At first the water was cloudy after stirring, but after a few minutes it became clear. The morning of the wedding, we prepared a deep pot with fresh water + FloraLife powder (if you're doing a lot of florals buy a second jar of FloraLife Flower Food powder--we needed two jars; it went fast). We soaked bouquet holders that had wet floral foam centers and 6-inch wet floral foam disks in the pot, one at a time. Before inserting each stem into the soaked foam we dipped them in FloraLife Quick Dip 100 for one second. It was extremely easy to dip the stems as we went along, and there's still plenty of Quick Dip left even after dipping hundreds of stems (you'll probably just need one bottle). After the bouquets and centerpieces were completed, they were sprayed with FloraLife Crowning Glory Solution. They looked pretty wet at first but dried quickly. I suggest spraying Crowning Glory outside or over a protected surface because there is overspray. Even though we did a lot of arrangements, we've still got plenty of Crowning Glory left in the one bottle we bought. We were worried that some of the heavier stems would fall out as the bride and her attendants walked down the aisle, so Oasis Floral Adhesive was applied a few hours before the ceremony. The tube was easy to squeeze and wiggle in the arrangements to where the stems met the wet foam. The glue was clear and a little runny (have a paper towel on hand), but we were able to make quick work of securing the larger flowers in the bride's and bridesmaids' bouquets; the adhesive dried within an hour. Not a flower fell during the entire evening or the days after, so the Oasis Floral Adhesive did it's job. There's still a lot left in the one tube we bought. I'm not sure which product or products we owe our phenomenal success to, but wow, it's over three days later and the bridal bouquet, bridesmaid's bouquet, and centerpiece we brought home still look great! They've had nothing else done to them, not even water added to the floral foam; we just have them displayed on tables in the house (see photos). They look as fresh as when we made them over 80 hours ago. Can't overstate how well the products worked for us, and if we had to do it over again, we would confidently get the florals finished the day before the wedding to give us more time for other items on our to-do list the day of the wedding.

Good adhesive but very sticky.

I am not a professional florist, but I have helped friends and family with their wedding flowers so I have lots of experience. I used the floral adhesive for wrist corsages and boutonnieres. I had no issues with it - I learned from an online video to keep the tube upright because it will easily 'leak' out of the tube if placed on a flat table surface. My only minor complaint is that I used this product on the day of the wedding to glue white lace around the bride's bouquet. Unfortunately, the adhesive left a yellow mark on the lace. I knew the photographer was going to be taking closeup pics of the bouquet and this looked awful. So I just threw out the lace and put a new piece of lace around the flowers and held the lace with a pin. Totally worked out. The adhesive didn't turn any of the flowers yellow...just the lace. So lesson learned. I will still be using this product again. I just know that I can't use it with white lace.

I love the Oasis Floral Adhesive Cold Glue. I've been watching professional florists Leanne Kesler and J Schwanke create bouquets, wrist corsages, rings, and more on Youtube with this glue for months, so I had to try it to see if it was all that - it's more! Very low odor that disappears quickly (as in it doesn't give me a headache) and holds firmly. You can glue just about anything to just about anything! It will hold metal to metal, live florals as well as faux, glues to plastic and metal so you can add beads and baubles and they HOLD! The glue is slightly tinted, so of course you don't want to get it on visible surfaces. But flowers aren't transparent, so you should be fine. And, another plus is that this glue will seal the cut ends of your flowers, stems, etc., so they don't lose moisture as quickly. Just put over the whole area you cut and it will seal it nicely. It's action is like rubber cement, put on both surfaces, let dry a few moments and then put them together to create a long-lasting bond. If you get some on your hands, yes, it can be a bear to get off, but use the Pokon Leaf Shine and it will rub right off easily according to J.Schwanke.
