My new John Boos cutting board.
Perfect size for cutting veggies. Easy to clean and a good quality board that will last for years. I also love that it is made in the USA out of a beautiful Maple wood by a company that still takes pride in their workmanship.

Customer service made it right
I ordered a cutting board June 4, 2025. I enjoyed ii and used it approximately three times per week. One year later it has split at the seams on both ends of the cutting board. Prior to this purchase, I thoroughly researched “best cutting boards “ and felt this would be the best product to purchase. . I reached out to the company. Even though it was outside the warranty date the replaced the cutting board, the company replaced the item with additional care instructions. I can’t say enough good things about Hayvin Prather in customer service. Thank you for standing behind your product.

Boos Board in a perfect size
I love John Boos items. The quality is apparent, makes a difference, and is worth the price. This one is small enough to be practical in the kitchen as a cutting board or a serving board for small snacks.

COMPLETE AND TOTAL GARBAGE…SPLIT IN HALF!!!
My wife and I did hours of research prior to settling on Boos Boards and eventually taking out a second mortgage on our house to buy this item. ;) Upon receipt, it looked like a quality item, however it was extremely dry. My wife and I did research on how to properly care for our new investment. She oiled the board as per instructions and per research we conducted. Our board was so dry that it almost never stopped soaking up the oil. Additionally, all of the “seams” where it was glued together were not completely smooth, which I’m assuming was part of the problem. My wife continued to occasionally oil the board after using it regularly. We have other boards that were cheaper, require less maintenance and have outlasted this board by a LONG SHOT. It was never abused or used in a manner in which it was not designed for, yet it completely failed us by splitting in half in less than a year. Needless to say, we are not impressed. I am a Veteran and my wife and I consider ourselves to be legit Patriots and we, therefore, try to support American companies, specifically those manufacturing American made products. But this board was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT and I don’t think we’ll buy one again unless by some stroke of luck Boos Boards reaches out to us in an effort to remedy this situation. We would rate it ZERO STARS if we could. Thumbs down!

Nice Cutting Board
I love this cutting board. It's a good "weight" and doesn't slide all over. I bought an oil and have kept care of it daily...so far. It's only been 2 weeks. The only disappointment was when I took the plastic wrapping off, I got a splinter...there's a tiny nick in it. I probably could have returned it, but i was excited to get it, so I kept it.

Nice Little Board - Check the Size to See if it works for you but it did for me.
This is a really, really nice little compact and quality cutting board. I wanted something for slicing bagels, slicing lemons and limes, cutting garlic cloves in half, cutting off a piece of cheddar from the block, and similar small tasks without having to drag out my massive 36 x 36 teak board. This is exactly that. It is too small to really "chop" on - although in a pinch you can chop a little parsley or other herbs. So no - this isn't a kitchen workhorse. But it is just what I needed and wanted.

Professional quality, no regrets
I debated this board for a while because of the price — but after using it, I can honestly say it’s worth every dollar. This board is substantial. It’s heavy, stable, and doesn’t slide around the counter at all. The craftsmanship is outstanding — smooth finish, solid construction, and clearly made to last for years, not months. This is not a decorative board pretending to be functional; it’s the real thing. Knives feel great on it, it’s gentle on blades, and it’s large enough to actually work on comfortably. I also appreciate that it arrived well-finished and ready to use with a little oil. Yes, it’s an investment — but if you cook regularly and want a board that won’t warp, crack, or need replacing, this is it. I’d rather buy one excellent board than multiple cheaper ones. If you’re on the fence: don’t be. This is a true professional-quality cutting board.

Excellent board
We love this board. It is solid, flat, thick, cleans easily, and there are no microplastics to deal with. It is big enough to do a lot of chopping on without getting crowded. I don't see a piece of wood this thick ever warping unless you do something crazy like stick it in a dishwasher. (Don't!) The board is also attractive enough that we just leave it out on the counter full time now. I am doing a lot of wok cooking these days, and a good board is essential in vegetable preparation. We do not (and will not) use this one for meat, but it's the go-to for anything else.

Requires some pre-usage work
The groove is too wide for this small cutting board, the surface is not very smooth (for oiling it is better to use sponge or microfiber instead of a kitchen towel). The JB cutting boards are very dry, not seasoned, so you need to spend some efforts on oiling

Beautiful Board
While this board is beautiful and well presented, the top face cutting area is quite small given the surrounding juice groove. I have not used it yet but intend to use the reverse flat side for veggies, fruits, cheese etc.

Worth the prize.
John Boos stand to it's reputation " great product, best quality". Never had a second thought when I bought this chopping board because I knew it will last a lifetime with proper care and attention. And by the way this is my second chopping board from John Boos, my first is 24X18x2.25 inches. I love it and you'll love it too professionals, amateurs and home cooks alike. Little heavy, but that what makes a beautiful, reliable and heavy duty chopping board.

Pricey but high quality
This is by far the best quality chopping board we have had so I am hoping we get many years of use from it. This particular model is the thinnest one listed on Amazon and personally I would not want to have it any thicker as it would become just a bit too heavy and awkward to handle. The same goes for the size and the next one up would be too big for our work surfaces and cupboards,
