Some New Information
If you've been around the block a couple of times this book won't hold anything new, but if you're just starting out it would be a great read for more natural cleansing. I knew most of this, but it was interesting to see the newer information and get actual measurements and instructions for some things like cleaning burned cookware.

Although I did know some of these secrets already, there were many more that were new to me, and very interesting.

A Staple for my Home
Everyone knows baking soda does wonders in a pool to bring the PH levels to normal. But did you know that you can use it to wash your hair? Use it for tooth paste? Clean your disposal? Make your clothes brighter? Remove stains from sorted colors? These are just a few of the many things that can be learned by reading this book. I went all natural years ago. I found this book helpful then and now. I have cleaned my bathtub, worked it on grout, and I have used it on my shoes. My YB are clean again. You may find it as helpful as I did. I have shared the cleaning how twos to my children. As we all have pets its a no brainer. Be careful with animals and small children when trying out the ideas in this amazing book.

Multiple Easy Uses
I use baking soda for keeping refrigerator fresh scent , In clogged pipes with vinegar, doesn’t damage pipes! As toothpaste for whiter teeth and a couple pinch’s in a cup of coffee to limit the acid, when you have acid reflux disorder, works like a charm!

Dangerous & unscientific advice mixed with a bit of truth-Do you know the difference?
So much of this book is dangerous or just wrong. Where do I start?1 T baking soda with water for antacids? That's 3700 mg sodium. Enough to possibly kill somebody with heart or kidney disease or on certain meds.--toothpaste? Only in emergencies. It's far too abrasive. Baking soda toothpaste uses a special, lower abrasive form.--buttermilk? 1/2 cup??? To make buttermilk substitute in a pinch, add acid- 1 tsp vinegar, not soda.--Sponges? They need to be sanitized daily or they are nasty piles of germs. If you use when stinky, you're only spreading germs.--Use to deoderize fresh meat or fish? Have you heard of food poisoning? If meat or fish has reached the point of stinky, baking soda doesn't make it safe. It could make you sick or kill a person with a compromised immune system (such as babies, elderly, people with autoimmune issues, people on steroids or chemotherapy/cancer treatment).Okay, enough said? There's more.People without a knowledge of basic chemistry shouldn't spew misinformation. One more thing. Baking soda does not neutralize "everything" it can only neutralize acid, and only to the leg used. Use too much, and the food will be alkaline, not neutral.OH, more...baking soda cooked in food destroys many nutrients. And, can harm polished surfaces over time. Finally, some info is true & valid, but are you sure you know the difference?
