Herb Pharm makes the best tinctures in the world in my opinion. I used to live close by their farm in Oregon and they grow organically and they process their herbs very quickly after harvest to maximize their potency. Their quality control is excellent and they are head and shoulders above any mass produced major manufacturer. There's no comparison to this goldenseal. I take one squirt along with three squirts of their Super Echinacea in a little water if I feel like I'm coming down with something and most often it wards it off. Of course it tastes a little bitter so you can mix it in with juice if you prefer or just drink a little water right after you take it. So potent. Great product. i've been using it for years and I'm a doctor!

My go-to for colds and sinus issues. I really love Herb Pharm products—they work well and I trust their quality. This goldenseal has been especially effective for my sinus infections and colds. The taste is honestly awful, but it’s worth it. I recommend taking it after a meal because it can irritate your stomach on an empty one. I used to mix it into a strong tea, but now I just drop the liquid directly into my mouth and follow with a juice chaser. This also shortens the duration of my nasal issues.

This liquid goldenseal is a lifesaver! Our family uses it for so many things from mouth sores...to cuts/wounds -- and particularly for wounds on pets. Pets lick everything -- and this is a healing/anti-bacterial natural medicine that I can use on pet wounds without worrying about them ingesting toxic chemicals. This will not hurt them if they lick it. It cleans wounds naturally, and seals them...helping to prevent further infection. It really works! I know it is pricey -- but a tiny amount goes a very long way! Worth every penny!!

Great cure all

I purchased this for my child who had a cold and after the last one, I wanted something to attack the respiratory issues right away. Now, it tastes awful, and I mean awful and kinda bothers the throat a bit afterwards but it seemed to work on the cold and prevented further complications. We were both able to take it better with a 1.2 to a full tablespoon of elderberry syrup, mixed together makes it go down much easier. Powerful stuff it is!

This Goldenseal extract seems to be very good quality. It's highly concentrated so even a small bottle can last some time. Herb Pharm cultivate their own Goldenseal organically on their farm, so they are not putting the wild populations of this plant at risk. Although the label indicates "Respiratory System", the action of Goldenseal can be much broader, including anti-inflammatory and other effects (google "hydrastis" for more info - the various historical Homeopathic materia medica will list relevant details. Even though this is in concentrated tincture format, they should still apply). The risk of side effects appears to be low, but it's not meant to be taken continuously for a long time. I guess if you take it for a week or two, you should take a break from it before resuming. Goldenseal is very bitter, however it can be mixed with something like apple juice to balance the taste.
