We used this extension on a Shure 55SH and a Shure Super 55. If you look at those mics the threaded hole for the mic stand is right next to the XLR port— so close that if you have the mic on the stand you cannot plug in the XLR cable end. This extension is a smaller diameter than most mic stands and extends the mic away from the stand so the cable can be plugged in. The male thread on the extension is the same as most mic stands and the female end then screws onto the mic stand. As far as your specific equipment, I cannot say, but if your mic has the same issues as the Shure 55 mics then this is the fix for that problem.
